My sister was diagnosed with Lyme's about 4 years ago. She is having trouble with her eyesight. Her insurance checked her out for MS, but that came back negative. Now they say that she has a swollen optic nerve. Is that from Lyme's?

She sees a lyme friendly Doctor on Friday. She has gone thru a battery of tests at UCSF in San Fran, and although she has previously been diagnosed for Lyme's, they say they have to rule out MS. The problem is that this new condition (swollen optic nerve) requires someone to drive her to and from work making life so much more difficult.

Hello, What kind of tx has your sister had for lyme? My opthomoligist said you can have eye inflammation problems from untreated lyme including swollen optic nerves. She needs a good LLMD.

Good luck, Denise
