It depends on what your looking to boost. I know my LLMD has me on Broelain, Cats Claw, Rhodiola, Milk thistle 100mg of coQ10, and fish oil.

I'm restricting, as in NO fructose sugars or refined sugars, low carbs, chicken, fish and low fat cottage cheese and eggs for protein, I do treat myself to old fashioned oat meal (can't find steel cut oats where I live) and honey to sweeten my cereal and teal, GALLONS of water and green tea fresh fruits and veggies as far as my diet is concerned. They stress keeping your blood sugar down and your blood alkaline to inhibit bacterial growth.

I'm currently on 400 mg of Doxycycline twice daily, fish oil, flax seed oil, a good multivitamin geared towards heart health, Vitamin B-6 and B-12, garlic (parasite inhibitor) and I recently started cats claw and am increasing it a drop every 72 hours as tollerated.

I've been herxing a little the last 24 hours after upping my cats claw from 5-6 drops twice a day but that has been settling down after a couple of days.

I'm feeling pretty good on this regimen but in all honesty, I think you have to adapt the guidelines to what works for you. I had to do a lot of experimenting and feeling crappy until I settled on this concoction from several different recommendations. I went too hard on the diet for awhile and felt more tired and drug out than normal. I feel better if I add just a little rye bread to my diet for some carb intake. Once again, it's what works for you. You may want to check out alkaline diets and Lyme diets on the internet or look around the site here. There are a lot of smart folks with a lot of experience here that can really help you.

Diet also depends on what you have to do to keep meds from making you sick. I find that a breakfast of oatmeal and eggs keeps the doxy and plaquenil down. For some reason, grains help to lessen the impact of these on my tummy. I don't have the same troubles with Biaxin, I just take that with whatever I'm eating at lunch. I keep organic granola around for tummy upsets from meds, and stick to a healthy diet of fruit, veggies, lean meats, fish, poultry and as much of this is organic as I can find locally. No processed foods unless they are organic, and no sugar, honey, chemical sugar substitutes or wheat. I use agave syrup or stevia when I need to add a little sweetness. I also stick fairly close to the blood type diet, although I do eat some foods that are supposed to be no-no's, like artichokes.
