MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

Yes, I agree. It is my same thought and feelings. One more reason our Health Insurance is so outrageously expensive in this country! I can't stand the thought of just throwing away my left over, sterile Saline and Heparin! If I knew ow I'd send it to some third world country since HIPPA won't allow for us to redistribute it in this country. I did try to analyze this concern by asking my self... If I would be comfortable receving these supplies from another household, or contagiously ill person. I think maybe not, so I have done what I could to find a use for the reaming unused supplies. The Animal clinic was all I came up with for donation of left ovrers. Well at least it will be used for our furry-four legged friends!

At least you found a home for them.

I have to say, with everything going on in this crazy world I would not trust any things from someone I don't know, free or not. This is not a safe world we live in anymore, sad but true.

And I used to work for BLBS, its not the insurance companys fault for our prices for health insurance, it because of the doctors and what they are charging. Also people sue doctors at the drop of a hat, so there prices keep going up and up, its a total shame....

My Nephew is a doctor in Hawaii and what he has to pay for Malpractice insurance is more then what my house is worth, shame...

The furry four legged friends will love you for it.

Julie

I have read over the hippa laws and from what I understand they are set up to stop the transfer of unauthorized distribution of patient information. So I believe if you contact your local red cross they would be willing to take tubing, saline and heparin as long as all of your personal info has been removed from the packaging.

I had made several calls, spoke with many Nursing Directors and not a one of them were willing to accept the supplies. So, today I will drop it off at my Vetrenarians office.

Hope is well.
