That was my thought as well. If your not you should be. My daughters dog bit my other daughter in the face and she swelled up and got infected. Although they say dogs and cats have cleaner mouths than us, they still have lots of bacteria our bodies arent equipped to handle.

I really didn't know what this post was about and I am glad I opened it. Yes, cat's mouths are extremely toxic, this is why you can get Cat Scratch Fever aka Bartonella. If you look at the symptoms, they are the same as Bartonella co-infection.

I sincerely believe, that I possibly contracted my Lyme through scratches and bites, from a kitten I rescued. My problems started about a year after I took her in. The last 2 times I flared up, I was definately able to connect it with a scratch and bite from her. (not intentional, this was when she was playing while I was making the bed)

All the bands that pop up on my tests, are Bb (Lyme) specific. I have not been tested for Bart through Igenex, but I have no question, because that is what is transmitted through a cat bite or scratch, the animal can be a carrier.

I was tested for Cat Scratch Fever at my hospital, the test was negative, fortunately though the rheumatologist who did the test was open minded enough to state he had negative tests, and he had pets, so he knew when he had it and treated by his symptoms, not rely on tests.

Since they are speculating that Lyme can be transmitted sexually or through saliva, and if Bart can be transferred through a bite or scratch, why can't the Lyme.

I really wish I knew there was some research being done on this.

There is a vet about an hour away from here, I haven't been able to get a hold of him, but he is doing Babesia research in our pets.

Yes, get on abx right away.
