MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

Does lyme affect your veins? Since I have gotten sick my veins swell up and my hands turn colors. My doctor once said he thought it had to do with the fact that the nervous system controls blood vessels. Anyone else have that experience? If so, which type of antibiotic helped the most?

It is pretty painful. They stand up like I'm hot and then the palms of my hands hurt.

Some people complain of "sticky blood" or circulation problems. My hands, feet and knees turn purple at times. There's a doctor that specializes is this symptom of lyme. PM me if you'd like his name.

I just saw this, and I have it, too. It is horrible and causes pain all over my body. So I can sympathize! I wonder if it is actually the bartonella that I have or if it is just the lyme. Not sure.

Lyme must affect the blood vessels somehow. M left hand n foot is purple, sometimes they get hot n red n swollen. I have also noticed pin size broken blood vessel lookin spots on my left upper arm/shoulder.

Does anyone know if this is associated with any particular co-infection or lyme???

I'd love to lose that symptom.

yes it certainly does affect blood vessles...i know this first hand cuz i had such swelling edema and vasculitis of my legs that my legs felt and looked like sponge at the tops of my legs...when asked my llmd he explained that lyme makes blood thick with fibrins hense the positive clotting factor in my blood ...lyme likes to make the blood thick so it can hude in it...the fluid often leaks from the small blood vessles into the soft tissue....

google this....it took care of it for me and is well known to be part of the lyme recovery protcol.... enzymes..... particularly wobenzyme n and serapeptase....i will never live without these 2..i watched it clear up before my eyes in 8 weeks...

Do you guys get cramping from it? My right leg kills and hurts even worse when it swells.

I'm going to have to try those two enzymes. Are they safe? I googled them and saw they are blood thinners?

they are very safe...the wobenzyme is a natural blood thinner and te only known contradiction is if you are on prescription heparin like drug blood thinner....works for the blood only if taken on empty stomach...i live it as it helps me so much and after 8 years if something work i stick with it...the serapeptase is not so much a natural blood thinner as it is a vacuum that cleans the free radials and junk out of the blood...after being n these my clot factor...d dimer its called...is normal when before clotting was positive...my legs look so much better and ankls not swelling n puffy anymore..

u can find the best prices on vitamin shoppe website as ND's i have found have huge mark ups...not all shops carry it...it is from germany and md's use it regularly as they have done clinical trials and studies....the germans are way ahead of us....

hope it helps you... it sure has done wonders for my legs..

I am NOT a doctor, anything I share is based on my experience & research. I encourage you to discuss any and all information that I share with a health care provider.

Thanks so much. I've been trying to figure out why after I got the lyme my hands and feet turned purple. And my legs/feet and ankles were puffy--like they were full of fluid. It really hurts. I would much rather take an herb than another drug. I'm taking so many supplements, what's one more.

I'm going to try this and let folks know if it works. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have swollen legs/ankles - very tight and painful. What dose of wobenzym do you take - do you stay on this permanently?
