Just kidding.... Let me start off by saying I've had petechial hemorrhages all over my body since before I started abx. I also either broke or twisted my ankle a few years ago when I fell down the stairs, no idea which because I didn't seek medical attention when it happened. Now, I've been on Doxy (200 mg 2x daily) and Zithro (250 mg 2x daily) for a little over two weeks now. I haven't had too many issues other than sore hands and feet. It started out like tingly coolness (like they were covered in Noxzema) but now it feels like needles.

A little over a week ago my right hand, mostly knuckles, first and second joints, got red like they are sunburned and it feels that way too. Sunburn doesn't even describe it justly. I feel like my hand is under a broiler. It's been so bad I've been using ice packs to cool it down. I also have blisters developing. Mostly they are on my hands, arms and feet.

Today my hand started to get itchy. It is now swollen and I have blisters all over it. The normal blisters I was getting are now filling with blood. My ankle, the one I injured years ago, is also swollen now. Is this normal? Also, I had testing done through Igenex. Do they send you a copy of the results or do they only send a copy to my doctor?

HI there,

I would call your doctor about the blisters. That doesnt sound normal. Swelling and flushing and itchy maybe.

I cant recall if I got a copy ot the results from Igenex.

I am NOT a doctor, anything I share is based on my experience & research. I encourage you to discuss any and all information that I share with a health care provider.
