Hi everyone,

i wonder if anyone could offer any advice, I am a 54 year old lady, until about 8 years ago was slim fit and very active, i developed underactive thyroid, it took ages to get a diagnosis as i kept showing up normal, but my mum and grandma also had it so eventually they gave me medication, i didn't improve a lot until i was also given T3, after that i developed celiacs disease, then fybromyalgia, diabetes, then my adrenals failed (they have no explanation why), and now rhuematoid arthritis, i am now on steroids, antiinflamatory, thyroxine T3, and various other drugs, the rhuematic drugs they have given me keep making me ill. Then i suddenly remembered about 8 years ago i saw a private docter who helped my by giving me T3, he also did a lymes test for borrelia which was 82%, I then forgot about it. Also my son became ill with what they thought was cushing disease and hypothyroid, but one test came back negative and the docters brushed him off. I took him to my private docter and he said he had lymes too and gave him doxycyline and armour thyroid. He has now recovered and no longer takes armour thyroid and has no other symptoms. Do you think all my problems are down to lymes, I just wonder how i can get the medical proffesion in england to look at it, I am under top proffesors at Manchester Royal research hospital. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to know that steroids will kill your immune system!!! Do a re-test for yourself. But, I need to ask about your son. Is he being treated?
