Now that I have been off of clindamycin and omnicef for 3 weeks with a dose of Zpack prior to being on Biaxin again for the past week and a half, I started having a "heavy" feeling in my legs with tingling/numbness in my legs and arms. A bit of air hunger is back, too. I am not on as much biaxin as I was in the start of my therapy in February, but still have these affects. I am starting to feel like it's not lyme, but MS or something. Is this herxing with the new meds or should I be worried that this is a different dx altogether?

Thanks so much....

I think you will find that we all complain about that heavyness coming and going. Im not sure its a herx but it could be.

I'm an Advocate

You have to remember that when you are treating - and especially when things are changed up - your symptoms will change.

New things will pop up - old things will return - the current stuff will wax and wane...

And sometimes, despite treatment, you may have flare-up and crashes...

I spent 12 years straight on abx - of many kinds - and have gone through all sorts of ups and downs...developed a variety of things out of the blue - always tested for other things in order to rule in or rule out Lyme - ultimately it always came back to Lyme for me...

It is always good to rule out other things - or rule them in...

I am a firm believer in MS being spirochete related - as a particular strain has been found to be in many patients over the years...

So changing up abx may effect you differently because it could be a varient strain...

Hang in there and be sure to be detoxing...

Everybody come take my hand
We'll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel that you've been down the same road...
And I just can't keep living this way
So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage
I'm standing up, Imma face my demons
I'm manning up, Imma hold my ground
I've had enough, now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now" Eminem Not Afraid

Thank you for your response. So how do I know if I am herxing or if it is MS? That's really scary...how does one know? Also, 12 years of abx???? Why so incredibly long?
