MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

Hi everyone. I haven't been writing much lately because for one thing my symptoms had gone away almost completely until last night. I had started with the numbness in diffrerent parts of my body, headaches, etc. about a month ago. Had a spinal tap that came back negative for Lyme's and MS. Last night I started having the same problems again, especially this really uncomforatable feeling in my arms and legs that's hard to describe. It kept me up all night. Have any of you had this feeling like that? Is it normal for symptoms to go and then return about a month later? I plan on sending a blood sample to the Igenix lab anyway. Could someone please give me the phone number to call and request the kit? Thanks for your help.

Carol

I am NOT a doctor, anything I share is based on my experience & research. I encourage you to discuss any and all information that I share with a health care provider.

Best to just go to their site online...

igenex.com

My concern for you is that you are waiting for one of these tests to tell you for sure that you have or don't have Lyme and unfortunately it just doesn't work like that.

Please PM Christine or Jaime for an LLMD. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis and you need someone who knows what to look for where other docs won't.

Best of luck! Smile

PS...It is perfectly normal for symptoms to wax and wane whether it be days, weeks, months or years. I've heard it all. Oh and symptoms can change totally or in intensity, etc... Sideways Tons of fun and never a dull moment! (sarcasm dripping...)

But if I do get a positive test result from a Western Blot test, won't that be enough for my regular doctor to go ahead and treat me? Especially when I show him the list of all the Lyme's symptoms and the fact that I've had about 30 of them? Are you saying the only way I will get treatment even with a positive result is to see a LLMD?

Hey there. Well usually docs treat lyme with very little importance. Even if he will decide 2 treat u, he'll probably give u 1 type of antibiotic for 10 days or 2 weeks, which is nto enough. U need 2 or more, for a longer period of time. Or u can try 2 print out stuff 2 convince him, if hes not brainwashed by the IDSA or CDC like most of em are. Best of luck!

Unfortunately my regular doctor and my kid's pediatrician laughed at our positive test results and told me there was no lyme here. They called our LLMD a flute and quack.

They also said we were taking medicine that we didn't need to because we didn't have lyme. So, I would see a LLMD if possible just so you are talking to someoneo who knows about it and cares about patients health.

Most regular doctors could care less. Mine wouldn't even work with my LLMD with my treatments so I would not have to drive 2 1/2 hours. Good luck!!

I am not a medical doctor, so please contact your doctor before adding any new medications or stopping any of your medications.

The information provided in my posts are from things I have read or personal experiences I have had or other members of my family.
Good Luck!! God Bless You!
