MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

well my daughters nurse praticner called this morning and found out her lyme test came out positive with 2 of the 3 signifigant bands being reactive. so she started her on amoxil 3x a day for 14 days to be on the safe side. she at least admitted to not knowing much about lymes but from what she read she wanted to be safe rather than sorry so started her on the antibiotics.

Well, now its up to you mom - how do you want to progress...

Its good that it is caught while she is younger - I cant remember how young - has she hit puberty yet??

This can be a very tough call - but if she is having symptoms she will need further treatment...

Lyme if caught early can be put in remission for long periods. You never really get rid of it but your immune system can hold it in check as long as you take care. There is always a controversy as to whether or not you are "cured" .For some we dont like the term but if its a remission or cure who cares if your feeling healthy.
