MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Does anyone take both grapefruit seed extract and grapeseed extract? I just started grapefruit seed extract and strted slowly with 5 drops in 5 oz of water 2 times day and working my way uo to the 10-15 drops 2-3 times a day as recommended on the bottle.

I did not know if also taking grapeseed extract as well would be safe and beneficial. I know they do different things but are also both antioxidents.

also the LLMD wants me to drink lemon water. When making this do you peel the lemon from the rhine and then blend it up and strain it or put the whole lemon in the blender with the rhine, cut up of course?

Hello,

I don't take both, but I have always worked with natural remedies...probably going above & beyond what I would recommend to someone else...I have never OD'd ...

I would say, trying one, then try adding the other and see how you react. Or, try them seperately.

Like you said they do different things.

I read somewhere you always may want to take a break once in awhile from remedies.

But I have added things when it comes to naturals, to find later they have made a product with what I was combining, or give a recipe.

With the lemon water...I have read often that just squeezing the juice of half a lemon in 8 oz water is good, esp..1st thing in the a.m. and the water shouldn't be cold.

Whenever I add it to water of tea, I just squeeze and leave the rhine in the glass. For some reason that tastes good to me.

If you have a good blender, you can remove the rind (bright yellow) and leave the pith (white), cut it in quarters, and throw it in with some agave syrup for sweetener. Use about 3-4 cups water for a full lemon (regular size lemon) or 2 cups for 1/2 lemon (1 serving). Leave the seeds in for this, because they're good for you too! Adding berries makes a nice tasty lemonade, or you can beef up the immune boosters with acai powder or goji berries.

That drink does sound good. Whole foods should have a great selection of acai products of all kinds, as well as the goji berries.

We have a Whole Foods about an hour from here...the people always seem very helpful and knowledgeable in there.

Going tomorrow to whole foods to get some lemons anf goji berries. I will look at some acai products and agave syrup. Is the agave syrup no sugar or natural sugar? I thought we could noy have sugar and loimit natural sugars? I am basically only drinking water and sometimes a glass of v8. Need something different.

Agave is a sweetner from a cactus, it still has calories but is very low on the glycemic index..so they say it is even safe for diabetics.

Agave is great stuff...I make a gallon of tea and put like 1/3 cup to sweeten the whole gallon..(depending on how sweet you like it) and I add a couple of packets of NuStevia , it doesn't have as much as a funny taste as other stevia I have tried. They have that at Whole Foods as well. It's a little pricy but one box lasts me for months, because I don't always use the whole packet.

Sometimes I just don't have time to make up a picture of juice or tea. So when I am in a hurry, I put some lemon in a glass with a little stevia...I put enough lemon though to make it taste lemonady adding the acai berry sounds like a great idea too.

Oh, you may want to ask them about your GFSE & GS question there too. At the supplement section they usually have someone working that area, and sometimes they are pretty knowledgeable.

I use both grapefruit and grapeseed mixed with oregano oil. As for the berries, I don't take them because of the sugar, it doesnt matter if its natural or not it still feeds the beast which is the lyme and I refuse to feed the demon, more like starve it to death so its up to the individual but I can tell you this much, I have recovered and alot had to do with the diet. Plus I refuse to take conventional antibiotics all they do is weaken the person more in my opinion

Did you have neuro symptoms? What have you used to help in your

recovery? Do you mix the grapefruitseed extract, grapeseed extract

and oregano oil all together in one or use them seperately during

the day?I try to stay away from sugar as I can feel a difference

when I eat something with sugar in it. Most friuts and berries do

contain natural sugars, but all I can seem to drink is water or

green tea. I really would like some other options.I do however have

that one cup of coffee each morning with some cream and 2 sugars,

just can't stop that one I really need it in the morning. I went a

long time before I could introduce that one cup of coffee back into

my diet and it does not seem to bother me. The rest of the day is

basically just water.

i take all three together 30 drops each as a good way to beat back any other viruses or bacteria roaming around in my body. Its a good way to make your body enviroment on the attack after the lyme. And yes I did have a couple neuro problems but their gone. Let me just say this if you have sugar cravings that is probably from a high yeast count with parasites and lets not forget the demon lyme. Don't trust any blood test that says your yeast count is low anyone taking antibiotics has a high yeast count. Take a probiotic thats is high and a good yeast killer is from jernigans yeast control, the stuff works well for anyone.
