MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Can someone please help me with this. I contracted Lyme in 1991, found a good Lyme doc in 93 and he treated me for 12 years and got me back on my feet after 12 years of painful disability. During my time with Lyme I went from weighing 90 pounds to as much as 150 pounds. Sometimes I was able to get the weight down to 120 with a lot of effort. OK...I leveled off at 120 and stayed there. The past 2 years I've noticed large knob like swelling just above my collar bone on both sides of the neck. My family doc said it was fatty pads. Friday a surgeon told me the same thing. He also suggested that I may want to see an Endo for thyroid. I've also been short of breath and have all the symptoms of hypothyroid disease. What should I do now? See my Lyme doc again?? See an Endocrinologist and get tested for thyroid?? This is confusing and the symptoms are making it uncomfortable to breathe.
