Lyme Disease Support Group

Hi -

I just joined this group and am so grateful for all the information. I keep reading about hyperbaric chamber therapy for lyme disease. I would really like to connect with someone well versed on this - this is all for my husband, who had a reoccurence three years after his first bout of lyme. I see that you can actually rent portable chambers; are they as effective as going to hospital locations? I am just wondering if the portable units can deliver the same pressure that hyperbaric centers can deliver. I don't even know where to begin with numbers involved and what I need to ask when I call places.

hi there, and welcome I don't have an accurate answer to your question, I'm not sure about portable ones. I do know many have had much success with O2 chambers though. We have one member here Connie, who has her own chamber, which might be similar to ones you can rent, and she LOVES hers. oxygen and heat kill lyme, so in my mind it seems reasonable that they would help in some way, likely pretty significantly.

Are you able to ask Connie, how she got about getting hers? That would be greatly appreciated. I have been interested but do not know companies to trust, plus, what to save up for.

the hard hyperbaric chamber is better but if you have a soft chamber use it.
