Hi Sar, I have had pic line in chest twice. I never felt any pains with it. And I kept hem for 2 months.

Honey, please contact your doc.

Good luck.

Hi Rob,

I have had mine since the end of March. I was very sore and bruised for the first week. I never had any sharp pains though.

You should call the doctor who put it in and let them know in case they need to do an x-ray to check the position.

I had to do that once when the home health nurse couldn't get my blood drawn from it.

Take care and let us know what happens?? Good luck

Sheila

Thank you so much for the quick responses..I talked to my doc, but of course the pains stopped before he called me back. He was glad to hear that they had stopped and he said to put a heating bad on the area on a low setting for 15 mins..and still no pains. He said if the pains come back to go to the ER and to call and let him know..so keep your fingers crossed that they dont come back!!!
