I went to a doctor with severe pain that started in my upper back then thru my shoulder up my neck, very painful and then came the migraine's. The doc xrayed and said cercival stenosis. So off I go to have steroid shots in my neck, twice. It did help the pain, but I am thinking could that be Lyme in my neck causing the pain, how would they know?

A stenosis is detectable in an MRI. Have they done one of those? I have a cervical Stenosis. What it amounts to is a pinched nerve. The whole in the bone that the nerve runs thru is narrowing down and impinging on the nerve. Yes very painful. I would ask to see the MRI report and ask the orthopedic how serious it is. Let them show it to you on imaging. Sometimes they have to do surgery to open it up again. I wish you luck with it.

Thanks for your reply tf55, yes I have had a MRI and a wonderful doctor here in town, that I do trust. I was just hoping it was Lyme so after I see this new doctor in Mobile this week, I was hoping if he can help me this would go away. Just wishing for a miracle. They had to give me shots but it was steriods, of which I read is a NO-NO with Lyme.....Thanks again............

Have you spoken with a chiropractor? Just a suggestion, you may be able to avoid the shots. I work for one, and have seen many people benefit. (That is for sure if you have the cervical stenosis, as neck pain can be one of the symps of Lyme it appears)

I know our office we do a complimentary consultation (no charge) so you can talk to the doc to see if he can help.

Perhaps you can find one in your area that offers a complimentary consult.

Hi, Zeke, yes I went to two chiropractor's and they actually made things worse. The pain management doctor I see said they just made the nerves in that area angry...funny use of words. He did help but now I need another shot but know that I can't. So I do see a new doctor in Mobile Ala. Tuesday and I am excited yet scared in the same sense. Hoping he can help with this issue. Thanks so much for your response and God bless.....

Your quite welcome...unfortunately...finding a good chiropractor, is like finding a dentist or doc you like... if you ever want to go that route again, the best thing to do is ask others who have one they like and get results from...but I am glad you know that route...

We have had patients leave to find chiros closer to their home..to come back, even if they have to drive. But, my neck pain may not be as bad, but I have had some where I had to lay down since I started the abx. I wish you the best, I don't like to see anyone hurting...

Dear Julie,

I am so glad to hear you did not give up on chiropractic because you had a bad experience...we hear that alot. I am so glad you found a good one, I have seen so many people get help that they weren't getting else where. Hope you have a great day...I am going to look into that bio-testing...
