I wanted to do a simple survey to see who's insurance covered igenex testing and whose did not, just say what insurance you have and yes or no, or add whatever you wish. I am new here to the group and have children who I got bloodwork done last week for lyme. I also got tested and have had lyme symptoms for many many years. Thanks!Cheerful

I have commonwealth care - neighborhood health plan and they paid for everything. I live in Ma and insurance is mandatory so this is a state run insurance. I dont even have co-pays. Needless to say i'm very lucky

I have Aliled PHC, they paid for 90% of my Ignex testing. They pay 100% of everything else for my lyme, except for my co-pay which is $20.00...

My mom is on vaca so I'll answer for her...

She has BC/BS and they paid most of Igenex testing but I'm not sure if they are covering my sister's LLMD visits or not.

I have Medicare which pays for most but I usually still get a partial bill to pay out of pocket.

I have blue cross blue shield also and they said they will pay 80% of the "allowable amount" after I have a one time $100 deductable. I go to see the LLMD on Wednesday, so I guess I'll have to wait to see how much my insurance actually decides to pay. I know the doctor's visit is around $300 and the tests are $600, but I have no idea what my insurance's "allowable amount" for each will be. Should be interesting...

Hi Guys,

Back from Vacation...

Blue Cross paid 190.00 of the 200.00 Igenex bill and pays 80% of the office visits. It will not pay for any of the supplements unfortunately.

They did give me a hard time about one of the meds. They wanted and would only pay for a certain antibiotic not the doctors first choice.

My husband is a teacher and they always have good insurance. Ours is a PPO. I of course have to lay the money out and get reimbursed from the insurance.

To help me keep track of things I designated one credit card for such payments. It helps
