MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Good Morning Ladies!

I actually registered the other day. Hope it does some good and is put to good use. I hope my name doesn't show up on a "Big Brother" list now. Shocked

I hope you have a great day!

Bethy

Gary, Please I hope you did not taken any offense by my "Big Brother" remark. It was DEFINITELY tongue in cheek. I work at the big 5-sided building in D.C. and that is used jokingly.

I'm glad that you have made the effort to collect data of Lyme Patients so people will know just how many are infected. You will probably have a better grasp of the numbers than CDC et al. Because I don't think that all Lyme cases are reported. Especially as hard as it is to get a correct dx to begin with.

Thank you for your diligence and please again, I did not mean to offend.

Have a wonderful evening.

v/r,

Beth

Thanks. I am in.

It would be awesome if every Lymie registered so we can see the true scope of our problem.

Gary, this is great that you are doing this. I just registered! Will be interested in what info you get out of this, as we know this aweful disease is so under reported because so many of us aren't cdc positive
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Gary-

I wasn't sure how to register exactly...

I was infected in 1994, I was diagnosed with Lyme in 1999.

Then I was rediagnosed with lyme and babesia 2008-2009.

Hi Gary

The database you are going to get is to show it to whom?

You say:

"It is my belief that the forthcoming data will reveal data showing that most people with chronic Lyme disease are receiving care from LLMD's and the like, and not by MD's affiliated with the IDSA.

I ask that you help me spread the word on this site so that we can get the data that we all know is in line with what I am saying."

And then what? After CDC and IDSA get to know exactly how many of us don't go to regular MD's and who are those Docs; what can you, and or us accomplish?

Do you think you can make a change in this organizations without being scrutinized your self as you stated in your blog?

"The reason is simple. I didn't want to fall under the same scrutiny that the LLMD's and the like are already under..."??

Really wish you luck!

MJ.
