Morgellons was a previous consideration. There are a lot of M. symptoms that don't fit, but a lot of symptoms do. I think I have read that people can have Morgellons as well as Lyme ??

Every damn symptom/illness that could be actually a complication of Lyme Borreliosis is ALWAYS in the phase of research.

The hungry researchers, are always asking for money for doing more research when it's clearly obvious that Morgellons is just another parasitic infection, probably worsened by the spirochete borrelia infection.

"Morgellons

The term "Morgellons" was introduced by stay-at-home mother Mary Leitao in 2004 to describe a skin condition characterized by a range of cutaneous (skin) symptoms including crawling, biting, and stinging sensations; finding fibers on or under the skin; and persistent skin lesions (e.g., rashes or sores).

A majority of health professionals, including most dermatologists, regard Morgellons as a manifestation of other known medical conditions, including delusional parasitosis[10][11][12] and believe any fibers found are from textiles such as clothing.[13] The Morgellons Research Foundation, a non-profit advocacy organization, believes that it is a new infectious disease that will be confirmed by future research.[14][15]

"Other health professionals don't acknowledge Morgellons disease or are reserving judgment until more is known about the condition."[16] Research into the proposed condition is ongoing."

Everything is ongoing, they've probably been funding a dozen times and still won't come up with a clear answer - Morgellons is a parasitic infection.

Moreover they're inventing psychiatric illnesses such as Delusory cleptoparasitosis and Delusory parasitosis attributed to Morgellon's.

Now people are delusional - oh this does not surprise me at all.

All Lyme Patients (if not all) have been called hypochondriacs and delusional on their first ER/GP visit.

The DSM IV wants to introduce Working, Smoking Addiction and Racism as legit psychiatric illness and probably bank a couple billions a year for patients that have been diagnosed with Workaholism, Smoking Addiction and Racism.

Whenever a doctor can't/doesn't want to put a proper diagnosis the patients is labeled lunatic and eventually prescribed "a magic pill" that will only put him/her to sleep.

If I'd get a Morgellon's rash on my body I would take a sample and go with it to a laboratory on my own spending to see what is going on in that area and what exact parasitic infection is affecting my skin.

I probably contracted Lyme Disease and other tick-borne co-infections when I was 4 or 5 when I found two ticks stuck on my right side of the neck. I went un-diagnosed until adulthood, developed severe symptoms suddenly at 19 and I struggle with them to this day.

Morgellon's

Upon further examination of the fluorescent properties of the fibers were found to come from a soluble substance that contained proteins from some very unusual organisms:

a protein found in cow's milk [casein alpha S1];

a bacteria found in sub-tropical water and soil [chromobacterium violaceum];

a parasitic protozoa that causes East Coast Fever, usually transmitted through ticks [theileria prava];

a rod shaped bacteria that is mobile by moving its flagellum and has been studied extensively in laboratories because of its unusual metabolism [azoarcus]; and

a bacteria associated with fermentation that like salinity [leuconostoc mesenteroides]

So it has something to do with ticks.

Still very weird colored silky fibers, I wonder how on earth they get those colors! Smile

Did, Betty, I always forget to do it, even though I also have problems reading large paragraphs, sometimes to the point where I only stare in one point and every eye movement makes me dizzy.

I have to keep my laptop at at least 1 m in front of me at all times.

When I clean with peroxide, I sometimes get white dots on my fingertips. I think it is a bleaching thing??

I have noticed this long before I got LD.

I have been told the crawling, and popping, vibrating sensations are nerve sensations.

Several years ago, I was bitten by an unknown anthropod (?) on my thumb. I never saw the insect, but it hurt like heck and my thumb became swollen.

I saw two doctors who dismissed my insect bite theory and said it was a cyst, removable only by surgery (which I could not afford).

One evening I soaked my thumb in hydrogen peroxide for half an hour and hundreds of white dots appeared. Shortly after, my thumb returned to normal size.

I later developed "arthritis" in the joints of other fingers but as this disease seems to resolve, the swelling is also leaving.
