Does anyone else out there have the horribly uncomfortable sensation of bugs crawling all over you? I looked at past posts to see if anyone else has talked about it but no luck.

I feel as though I have little bugs crawling over me from head to toe. It's not constant but it's often enough to make my want to scream.

I picture the spirochetes "swimming" all under my skin. But then I wonder, is it all in my head?

I do know that it drives me insane!

Anyone else have this problem? If so, any suggestions to make it stop!?

coconut, many members experience the PARASITES and feelings; so many that they created a PARASITE forum.

so go to top of page, click on forums, P, then parasite; i bet you will find exactly what you are looking for there.

we decided to keep them separate.

i know the feeling; been there; done that!

coconut,

I just wanted to add that this is a very common sensation that Lyme patients will feel. I had it terribly at the beginning ...and hardly feel it at all now...

I always attributed it to Lyme because all of my symptoms were in my peripheral nervous system...but I know other parasites can also cause this.

So- I would say- yes, this is something that many of us experience!

Hope this helps.

Hugs,

Jackie

in German, this sensation is called "running ants" - a very suitable name. In English, the medical term is formication - watch your spelling! Laughing

This is not directly caused by parasites or bacteria under your skin, but is a neurological symptom, which is rather common with lyme.

I get this in spurts. I feel weird looking under my clothes ,between my toes. Has been worse past few days.

My daughter who is 9, who had an EM when 3, complains about this too often. At the time of EM, i didnt know what it was other than possible spider bite and pedi brushed the rash off. Rrrg.

She will be tested soon.

I feel for you. The crawling feeling is terrible.

When it is really bad, I use peppermint oil from young living and it takes away the crawling sensation
