I am new to this forum. I have been told I had Fybromyalgia, to its in your head. I am the mother of 2 young boys. Today I couldn't get out of bed. I need advice, and help.I have cried so hard for hours. I went to my PCP last Friday the blood work showed Lyme. I am On my knees IM so sick.. I know I was bitten by a tick, and got the target rash , two and a half years ago. I went to the ER and they gave me a ton of antibiotics to take. They told me I would be ok. I have had ok days but recently I have become so sick.I had chronic pain going on anyway because of a back surgery in 2004, I guess I thought it was nerve damage from that. Im not sure what to think. I need to know if you get physical ill from Lyme. I also need some really good advice. If it wouldn't be for these boys, I would have already done the unthinkable. I really feel that bad. I have an appointment with an infectious disease doctor March 15, I begged my PCP to give me antibiotics , he wouldn't....Is there anything that will make me feel better./.My joints hurt, Im physical ill, and ZERO strength..It took all I had to write this email.Sorry for the bad grammar.

HELP

Yes Lyme can make you Physically ill and mentally ill. Search this forum, you will find so much help and comfort. I personally had weakness in my arms and legs. My knees were painful and stiff, I had sharp shooting pain up my arm. Awful.

DO NOT give up. Tell us what area you live in and some one can get you a Lyme Literate Doctor who can help you with medicine and advice.

Lyme made me weak, tired, irritable. Headaches, dizzy, the list goes on and on.

Reach out to this forum and find a Lyme Literate Doctor who can help you.

I have been very sick in bed most of my days for the past three years and also had every test you could think of without being diagnosed with lyme until just two weeks ago. Both mentally and physically exhausting. I was extremly dizzy and the naseau was at times unbearable! I'am a mother of four young kids and so know what you are feeling. Hang in there! This is a wonderful place to find peace and comfort in this disease they call ours.

well first of if he wont give you antibiotics, there are a host of natural antibiotics you can take like samento which kills like very well, cumandra, barberry and banderol. Take Curcumin 95 for the muscles and joints. Take pinella for the brain and dont give up. Start out slow with this stuff because you will feel some pain from the die off and if you do feel this pain, start drinking alot of water to cleanse your system. Finally, you should look at some essential oils, oregano is a good one along with thieves thyme and many more but its up to the individual person.

Welcome Reallysick...

I am sorry that you are having to go through this.

When it comes to having Lyme you HAVE to adopt a Take Charge and Take No Crap kind of attitude.

If you came back positive - you doc not giving you abx until you can get to a specialist is WRONG. Treatment needs to begin immediately. He is jeopardizing your life and your health. That is WRONG - he has a responsibility to you...Hold him to it!

Normally I would go on and on with a whole bunch of things - but I have not been having a good week and I just hurt myself by picking something heavy up - so it is getting really painful to type...

Please read around the different forums - Lyme Facts is one that you should study. As it has info throughout that will be important to your getting the right treatments. Education is key here...

Please feel free to PM me any time for anything...

Hang in and hold on...we are here for you

Big hugs!!!!

Christine

If it were me I'd make another apointment. I'd sit on the exam talbe and refuse to leave untill he gave me the antibiotics. Ok, I know thats a bad idea, but crap like that pisses me off. Sorry your going through all of this.

But that's the thing Smiley...

The best course of action is to be intolerant to be treated with such ignorance...Reallysick - that is what has happened here...Ignorance will keep you sick - and that is unacceptable...

However, if you push - he may in fact fire you - BUT you have 30 days to find a new doc - and he still must treat you.

Doc's push their egos on us - and treat us in ways that makes them "better" then us in their eyes...and they need to be knocked off that high horse and brought back to reality...

The bottom line is this...You tested positive - his refusal to treat you while you wait for an appt with a specialist can be considered neglagent. Immediate treatment for this disease is necessary, and his unwillingness is adding more time for the bacteria to continue to find more places to hide and infect within your body...

Either he gives you abx or you will hold him responsible for his neglect. He is playing Russian Roulette with your life - WHAT THE HELL GIVES HIM THAT RIGHT? Ask him that too...

Sweetie - I know that you are really sick and really scared...but you are in a fight now - no matter how awful you feel - you are a strong person who has so many reasons to fight harder then they can push you down.

yes my tactics tend to me more aggressive - because not any single one of us deserves this kind of treatment. These doc's took an oath - but then they fall short. Maybe he is scared to do anything - THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE. Maybe he is not sure what to do. THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE. There is no excuse for leaving you out in the cold like this. Dont let him get away with it.

Sweetie - Please make sure that you PM Jaime1978, who is a group leader, with your location and how far you can travel - YOU NEED TO SEE AN LLMD - many infectious disease docs will fall short...most follow inadequate guidelines...

You have enough on your plate - getting you to an LLMD (Lyme Literate MD) will get you treated quicker - no need to go from doc to doc to doc...you have a positive test - GET THOSE RESULTS and keep copies for yourself...

Hope this helps some more

Always feel free to pm

Christine
