Well...We now have one in Debeque...which is on the other side of the Grand Mesa...IF this fire jumps the highway...it will race of and over the Mesa...and would head straight in our direction...so we are HOPING this does not happen... The Grand Mesa surrounds us on 3 sides...so it could be horrible...however one side we wouldn't have to worry because it is just adobes...no plant life well very little...not enough to spread fire... But the other two sides...losts of trees... Going to be getting our 5th wheel camper ready...Just in case we have to evacuate... We have a great bunch of volunteer fire fighters here...the last fire that was around here only burned 60 acres...they don't mess around...they dig in and fight hard...
