Hello all, I am new to this group, recently was diagnosed with chronic lyme disease. I lost most of my hearing in my left ear 30 years ago, had all the symptoms of lyme but no one knew what it was. I am now having similar symptoms in my right ear. Could this be due to the antibiotic I am taking. I have heard that when first on antibiotics, all your former symptoms may reappear. I am so scared I am going to lose my hearing in good ear. Please I am desperate for help!!!!!

That was one of the first things I noticed 10 months ago when I first

started getting neuro symptoms tinitus bad. Since I have been on the abx. it has gotten better.I think it's swelling in the brain?

Thanks I am so tired and so emotional. I can hardly communicate without starting to cry. Do you think that could be Lyme and my seritonin levels?

Hello! I lost hearing on my left ear about1,5 year ago. Finally i got the lyme diagnose 7 month ago. I understand VERY well how scared you are! But sometimes the antibiotics can affect the hearing as well. I started to have symptoms on my healthy ear right before getting medicine and did not dare to sleep because i was afraid.....good luck!
