My main issue has always been a feeling of foggy, dizzy not normal feeling in my head. Makes me not able to function many days. I have been to inner ear docs, cat scans of brain you name it. I was diagnosed on monday with a western blot test. I don't see alot of posts having to deal with this feeling in the brain? I have a very hard time shopping, cooking and so on all because of this feeling of fog. I get anxious and have to lay down to not feel like I'am going to throw up. I have had this same symptom for 2 years and is my main complaint. Anyone else? It does not effect my balance but just feels so not normal.

Oh brain fog, Lyme brain, I guess we all talk about it daily half joking but there is plenty of reference. One post was askng for help with brain fog.. That's one of the most common and debilitating complaints for sure... A lot of it they will explain as being (several things) but encephalopathy perhaps not seen on an mri, fluid shifting (Bb etc can get into the brain in as little as ten days) candida/yeast overgrowth , very common in lyme as well as Chronic Fatigue syndromw... Will post an article that may be not exactly Lyme specific but all of the underlying 'causes and immune issues' can pretty much qualify us in that assessment. It's TERRIBLE... I started Pinella but just a week ago so, will keep you posted... Am on a ton of antibiotics and I got too foggy/weak/lethargic and I went off meds and my doc put me on questran to rid the toxins, I was drinkng tons of water but alot of us just can't flush toxins that way--toxic buildup is such a key factor... the second site is about the 'neurotoxic buildup' that I had/have.. So much to learn still!

I can barely drive or stand up for a long time, anything, it's overwhelming and know exactly what you mean... You are on doxy? Shoot will go back and see what your posts said but thought you started treatment and were waiting for final results..

Perry - that's exactly how this started for me too (10 years ago). I felt that foggy feeling in my head and was (still am) dizzy all the time. I went to numerous ents and did all the scans, etc... So, yes someone else has had those symptoms that you describe! Lots of things would set me off, like crowds, lights in shopping malls & stores, etc.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

Honestly, my idiot's opinion is that we all have 'lots' of goodies. Especially candida and the toxins as we tend to not have strong enough immune systems to fight Lyme in the first place. When i started treatment, aside from going bonkers on Biaxin,, I was dazed and confused and a mess. For a month, then, QUIT! Like you hear about what not to do. I couldn't do it, it was Christmas, had no help, and, life--so I quit my meds and re started in Jan, then , same thing, herx/toxins being released and then added rocephin and got slammed.. Tried too many herbals too, all at once, guess you could say I could be a good example of what not to do. When you are desperate and you think you have read it all, you want to get better fast. There is no 'FAST' about Lyme, Take probiotics to prevent the candida... I shall get yicky here-reflorastaton and coffee enemas which I do know many chronic Lyme patients in treatment do this on a reg basis... Hey we're all in this together so nothing is embarrassing at this point... I have taken probiotics,, not ventured into the other two Smile

Cumanda is great for yeast, natural antifungal, can't mix with another tincture, learned that one earlierSmile but be careful about adding if you are considering it, lots of natural converts here and I hope to be one someday....

The Herxheimer Reaction is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body. As the body detoxifies,/spirochetal death releases toxins from their DNA, and it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms.

This is a normal — and even healthy (have to pay the price)— reaction that indicates that parasites, fungus, viruses, bacteria or other pathogens are being effectively killed off. The biggest problem with the Herxheimer reaction is that people stop taking the supplement or medication that is causing the reaction, and thus discontinue the very treatment that is helping to make them better. Although the experience may not make you feel particularly good, the Herxheimer Reaction is actually a sign that healing is taking place. Also called a healing crisis when referring to herbal sites at times..more fun fun fun.... you could be there already honey

I'm an Advocate

brain fog, memory issues, seeming like you can't write like a 5 year old anymore, can't remember where you're driving too, or what you went to the store to get, all very common. As is vertigo. lyme does get into the brain, and the effects can be devistating. It's hard to be a grown adult and not be able to do simple tasks. this should improve with treatment.

are you seeing a lyme literate doctor? if not, pm me and I can help find you one.

warmest regards

jaime
