MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

Hi so I have been taking a-bart for a week, and am on a drop now. A month ago I got up to 15 drops but had no die off.

I am almost positive I have bart because I have every symptom: easily angered, bad anxiety, confusion, feeling anti-social, mood swings, blurry eyes, swollen neck glands, frequent need to go to the bathroom, head pressure, air hunger and more. but a-bart is not giving any die offSad

has it failed to work for anyone else? and what did you take instead?

also, just wondering..i read another symptom for bart was white dotted/chicken wire skin. on my arm there is a small white patch with little dots/indents in it, ive never known what it was. can this be bartonella?

Your symptoms could be Babesia - not Bartonella

Flogirl - Have you been tested for HHV-6. I thought many of my symtoms were Bart/Babs related. It wasn't until I was symptoms free but unable to get my antiviral RX, that I realized many of my symptoms were Viral related.

General

Malaise, fatigue, chills, sweats, flu-like symptoms

Cardiovascular

Palpitations, tachycardia, arrythmias

Respiratory

Oropharyngitis, coryza, cough, mild bronchitis, sore throat, intermittent wheezing

Gastrointestinal

Sialoadenitis, sicca syndrome, abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhea

Lymphatic

Tonsillar hypertrophy, peripheral blood lymphocytosis, slight splenomegaly,

mononucleosis-like disease

Hematopoietic

Anemia, thrombocytopenia

Musculoskeletal

Weakness, arthralgia, myalgia, SLE– or fibromyalgia-like symtoms

Endocrine

Various signs of thyroid dysfunction

Skin

Rash, eyelid & facial edema

Central & peripheral nervous system

Emotional lability, irritability, lack of concentration, headache, dizziness, loss of memory, chronic fatigue syndrome-type symtoms, parethesias, peripheral neuropathy

There are many more symptoms related to HHV-6 these are just a few. Something to consider. Best wishes!!

Raven is right - it is worth looking into!

Could be Babesia, but could be a virus.

Flogirl - The reason I brought the HHV-6 up is because I suffered with feet/ankle/lower leg pain & wrist/forearm/elbow pain for years. Everyone, including myself, on this board kept saying it was due to Bart.

Like I said, when I wasn't able to get my Valtrx (antiviral) Rx, all of these symptoms came back 10 fold. Mind you, I was symptom free & not on any ABX for a good 5 months.

It was like a light bulb went off in my head, "OMG.... this wasn't Bart, it was HHV-6 the whole time!!!" BTW: I never tested positive for Bart but I know that doesn't mean anything.

All I'm trying to say is, all these infections have very similar symptoms. Instead of focusing on just 1 or 2, you & your LLMD should broaden the scope & rule out as much as you both possibly can.

If my LLMD never tested/treated me for HHV-6, I could have been trying to treat a viral infection with ABXs & would have gotten nowhere. Again, best wishes!!!

wow thats makes a lot of sense ill have to look into that! i guess the reason i thought it was bartonella was bc all my symptoms were emotional or nervous system related.

so ill have to check if its babesia or hhv-6

I would say too babesia, I have all of the symptoms you've mentioned.

Noticed terrible die-off herxing while on GSE and Cat's Claw.

I probably contracted Lyme Disease and other tick-borne co-infections when I was 4 or 5 when I found two ticks stuck on my right side of the neck.

I went un-diagnosed until adulthood, developed severe symptoms suddenly at 19 and I struggle with them to this day.
