Hi all.

So I started my first antibiotic 3 days ago, Cefdinir 300mg twice daily.

Could I be herxing already?

I have a horrible headache, my joints are killing me, deep muscle pain, major fatigue.

Or is this just the regular Lyme's stuff?

Sounds like a herx to me! Hang in there. I was on Cefdinir for 10 months, great stuff.

You can back off of it until your body catches up and flushes out the toxins. Yes, cefnidir messed with my gi tract.

I began herxing on my third day of Doxy.

Detox and probiotics are very important!

ok, at least I now know I am not going crazy, lol!

Yes, on ProBiotics and watching my diet.

Also taken a few detox baths.

Cefdinir did not mess with my GI if I took it with food and took 6 probiotic pills a night. It really helped me get passed some of my neuro stuff.

I would be careful going up and down on the dose with this one. I hung in there thru the inital herx. I eventually developed a resistance to it anyway after going up and down on my dose (went up to 1200/day...then back to 600/day....then it kind of stopped working and I was switched to Biaxin).

Unlike doxy, I can go up and down on my dose and it still seemes to keep on working (knock on wood).

I know very little of what Im talking about except my own personal experiance, so take it for what its worth!! lol...

It's really bad today.

I have a migraine, diarrhea, super bad joint and muscle pain, major brain fog.

Taking my Cefdinir as prescribed, as well as enzymes and probiotics.

Will call my llmd if this gets much worse, may need some pain meds, advil just isn't cutting it today.
