Hello everyone, I had to delete hannna's post from last night, I'm sorry. Talking about suicide here in the form of discussion, is okay. Discussing your feelings, is okay. Saying you feel depressed or overwhelmed, and need support - that is okay. Suicide threats and goodbye letters are not okay. Stating you are going to "end it" is not okay. It is against the site (MDJ) rules. Any suicide threats or goodbye letters will be deleted. As an online community we do not have the resources or abilities to help someone who has threatened suicide. I understand that in those times we, as a community, want to have the magic words that will help them and keep them from harming themselves. However, since we are all online, there is no way for us to do that. By the time someone is making threats, they need professional care, which we are not equip to provide here. I did PM her with hotline information. I do understand that we all just want to help her. But for the good of the group - I had to delete it. There are too many others who are in fragile states, and suicide threats often catch like wildfires. I hope you all can understand. blessings, purple Group Leader

I think you are just making things worse, but what do I know. I think it is good that she is expressing herself also she dont need to feel that she has done something wrong (which she hasn't). If you really want to kill yourself there is nothing anyone can do about that. |

Purple, I also felt like Hannah's post was not a "I'm gonna end my life note" More "I'm gonna end being so compliant with treatment and sobriety". I thought it was a cry for help. Poor kid. Unfortunately, Mitchell's excellent words of wisdom were deleted too. Mitchell, hope you have them saved somewhere? I loved what you had written. I am not in the medical field and anything I say is simply my opinion and should not replace the advice of your doctor. |

I apologize if I was wrong. I read the entire post, and felt it was a suicide threat, therefore deleted it as the rules state. Hannna has not been banned, and I encouraged her to come back for support. Again, I apologize if it was a mistake. However, I'd rather be safe then sorry. purple Group Leader

Purple, I did not see the post from last night that you are talking about but when I read this thread I noticed there are two diary entries. I read both entries and they both concern me. I hope someone is able to check on her.. and I'm not sure the diary entries should be left up? What does everyone think? I'm worried for her! I hope she lets us know she's okay because, well.. drinking a whole bottle of wine while baby is sleeping?? xoRB |
