Blessings all- I can see people are reading this announcement, and yet no one is commenting on the fact that Betty is stepping down as a group leader. Betty, you and I have had our differences in the past, but the fact remains that you have given of yourself above and beyond in so many countless ways for this group. I have always respected you for this and more, despite our differences. Diversity is what keeps things interesting, and we may be different in a lot of ways, be we are all ONE in the end. My love for you was never an issue, it's always there no matter what happens or happened. I pray that there isn't anything serious going on with you and your husband, and that you are just honoring your need to cut back and spend time together and enjoy life. You both deserve to have quality time with each other, and this will give you that chance finally. THANK YOU BETTY...thank you for all that you've done for me, for what you've done for this site, and for what you've done for the lyme community as a whole. You're irreplaceable, you will be missed, and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Peace . . . starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.
