Any suggestions for minimizing the effect of bruising? I have an interview tomorrow and well a hazard of my job currently involves me getting hit, kicked, etc.

I have put on lotion and aloe Vera, both have down graded the pain from a bad sun burn to more comfortable. Since I have an interview tomorrow though kind of worried?!

P23 and P41 bands positive, IBS like symptoms caused by possible candida, herbal and antiobiotic treatment, gluten free, candida diet.

I do not have a medical license so my suggestions are limited to personal experience and research. Also I am not a lawyer so if I offer advice relating to school issues it is only from my experiences as a special education teacher, my own disabilities real or Lyme induced, and research.

I read that Vitamin K cream can help the body absorb blood, therefore reducing bruising. Also, no heat, and only ice on it. Heat will increase circulation, therefore it can bruise worse. I haven't used these techniques though, just read about them.

Was diagnosed with Autonomic Disorder, POTS, Interstitial Cystitis, and Fibromyalgia. True story is I have late stage Lyme which has caused these things. Just began the fight in October 2011 (have been full-blown Lyme since Sept. 5, 2010), and WILL be victorious! Positive bands: IgG 41 and 60; IgM 23 and 41. CDC positive!

Rower,

I just have to ask - what type of job do you have that involves kicking and brusing?

I put on tons of lotion and aloe Vera to hydrate the skin which dulled the pain and seemed to prevent bruising. Still kind sore but better. I work with behaviorally challenged students this year. Encouraging them to change their behaviors or work for longer than they would like at times causes them great frustration.

Some of these students lash out at others while others direct the anger inward. It can vary from verbal, physical, destructive, etc. They have improved, but they still have their moments.

The interview went very well! Crossing fingers!

1000 to 2000mg of Vit C is supposed to prevent one from bruising too bad!
