Hi there and welcome...

B12 has helped me alot. I also started taking green tea which also seems to help give more energy.

Also, it may depend on what abx you're on. That could be causing the way you're feeling. Don't know but try those and see if it helps.

Hope it works... We're here for you..

Take care,

Pam

I am the SAME way. If you find any other miracles let me know. It's terrible, and when I do get up, I am mean and mad for I can barely stand up. I am on B12 30 mg twice a week/shots,but see no improvement with them, and that's a WHOPPER dose.. I am not sure if you have a tendancy to have racing heartbeat/palpitations- but many chronic illnesses warrant something like 'provigil' even to try for 'wakefulness' I can't say if it gave me 'energy' as my heart is too delicate and anything sets it off.

I have heard, that co enzyme q 10 helps if taken at bedtime, and started it but don't have results.

I go so sick and was worse/vicious cycle as I became a Red Bull addict, coffee, anything that would wake me up just for a while as I got desperate. Now too sick to care for it and it sets off the ticker. I have heard of green tea, see it everywhere and have never tried it. Does that have ginseng in it? that's another one too that is supposed to help. One more thing is a plain old antidepressent whether you are depressed or NOT, like an SSRI that regulates serotonin / regulates sleep. It's one reason alone to start or try one as sometimes all you need is a little more balance. No one should be afraid to try one for sleep pattern disturbances and I wish they would change the 'label/class' of those meds for more would be compliant with them.

So this isn't really an answer, it's a 'I hear you' I have been like this for -well since starting treatment in October 08, all day, every day, then I can't sleep at night.

It's taken over in that respect for me. So you are definitely NOT alone.

What about sugar/gluten? do you consume a lot? Yeast overgrowth is a huge concern as well with Lyme/chronic fatigue/etc....

hi! Thanks for the advice. I have tried B12 shots but got no relief from them...Same as just about every other treatment! Just a management of the symptoms but no cure in sight.

Thanks again!

Joan

Wow! It always amazes me that when I chance to meet someone with Lyme that the symptoms are so universal! My heart is also a mess. If I don't take "blood pressure" medicine my heart clicks away at 140-160 beats per minute. I haven't progressed to Red Bull yet but sure love Mountain Dew-but most of the time that doesn't do anything ! I see my dr this week and I am going to ask him about Provigil. Hopefully this is one of the drugs that you can get on a program like PPRX as my insurance will end on the 20th of this month! What a scary thought-to be this sick with absolutely no backup......I sure hope that one of these stimulus packages will apply to people with disabilities! thanks again for your help!

try the b-12 sublinguals...also I use ester-c powders - seems to help with the energy and has detox properties too..

some things that i also do...will eat a few oranges before bed, co-q10 is good if it works for you...

and here I go again with this plug - whole food supplement...will reset your metabolism - and help you process your nutrients better - so you get what you need from them...

GET OFF THE MOUNTAIN DEW if you havent already...refined sugars are not good...If you havent gone Gluten Free - give that a try - it is amazing how gluten can effect us Lymies...

Good Luck...

Christine

ooppps forgot the water plug - half your weight in ounces a day of plain water - will help with a lot of things too...

I just started taking something "cellpower" you can get it at a health food store, read about it here : www.cellpowerusa.com

I bought it for ph levels, but when I read about it, it also says energy, also good for bacteria, viruses, and on and on, something to look into.

speaking of b12, you MUST be sure to get methacobolamin, not cyanacobolamin, and you can even get injectable b12 from a COMPOUNDING pharmacy, the stuff at a regular pharm is cyana stuff, you really want metha stuff, I belive if u go to www.truthaboutlymedisease.com , go to fourms, then 3rd one down is "everything you need to know about tick born diseases" there's info on a comounding phamr there. I may have even posted it in the fact section here, can't remember.

it's not that hard to do a shot in your arm or your leg, if you do decide to do it I'd be more than happy to call you and walk you thru it, my best friend had to be on the phone with me the first few times I was so nervous, but it's really not a big deal.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
