Anyone ever had actual numbness in your toe(s)? I've had swelling and pain, but haven't noticed numbness until this evening. Post edited by: nank59, at: 03/29/2012 09:38 PM nan

Yes, often after exercise part of my left foot would become completely numb. No idea why. To Betty, Lyme can cause scarring of the feet. It is common with the European varietys. It happens here too but isn't often recognized. The bacterium can inhabit the callous area and causes damage that can be painful, itch, and cracks. Soaking your feet in raw bleach for a few minutes a day will cure it. I've been doing this for some time. Bleach with some scribbling from a brush followed by a soak in hot water (added to the bleach) then a rinse. All the sore spots are gone and the cracks and callous lumps gone leaving uniform and smooth skin. Works very well. |

yup. I started rifampin for bartonella and I have had tingling/numbness in my toes. It's very annoying. |

Mavs, Rifampin has a red flag side effect of peripheral neuropathy. Check for side effects, and ask you doctor! |

One numb toe on one foot...one swollen, achey toe on the other foot that woke me this morning...tingling in feet and hand...and, just had an episode in my left hand that felt as if tiny tingly things were having a pep rally throughout my hand. Pep rally over...my hand now feels as if nothing ever happened. Creepy disease. Shoulders aching...muscle pings all throughout my arms...swollen body...weight gain. Again, creepy disease. nan

Mitchell you are so funny  Nan, I experienced terrible peripheral neuropathy from Bart - I could barely walk a one point... Then as I got a bit better, I could only wear my sneakers/running shoes. Looks so fashionable with my suits at work!!!  Still can't wear heels (my shoe collection feels terribly neglected).... Hang in there - we're all here for you! I have toe numbness as well. I have Bart too. My feet look horrible and feel horrible. Anyone else get extreme dry feet that crack and bleed? |
