Does anyone know if Lyme can cause hormone problems or imbalances in men?

Yes, Hormones are tricky. If you hit your sweet spot with them then it can make life much better. Lyme wreaks havoc on the pituitary and this is where most hormone produttion is triggered from.

If you have Lyme I can almost guarantee your Testosterone and Growth hormone levels are low.

Your estrogen levels are likely high as well.

Hormonse have to be regulated as a group because most of them convert into other hormones.

You would think if you have low testosterone then just boost your testosterone. That isnt the case. If you over boost T it will convert to Estradiol or DHT, then you are no better off. Testosterone is made in the testicles. When you supplement it , your brain sees it and shuts down the signal for you to produce your own and this will cause testicular atrophe. You have to take something like HCG in addition to testosterone to keep the testicles functioning.

There are many more examples like this, I just gave the one that would most likely apply to any male with Lyme.

You need to see a specialist and there is only one in this country that I will trust to handle it right. He is in lansing Michigan and his name is Dr. John Crisler.

Most doctors do not fully understand hormones and their conversion pathways in the body. Do your homework before you decide who to trust this with.

No problem. Like I said Hormonal balance can bring you back to feeling normal. Balance is the key.

The guy I wanted to go see was in california, his name is Romeo Mariano I think. You can go to his website at definitivemind.com. He is supposed to be one of the smartest doctors out there. Very impressive.

I'm not a doctor, my advice is from my own research, mostly off of the internet. Doctor's can be wrong, they are still just human, a healthy dose of skepticism can be needed sometimes.

sda & ptm, are these names that you're posting Lyme doctors?

If so, that's a big no-no! We don't want them getting in trouble for helping us. Please go back and edit your posts to take out the names if this is the case. You can always PM any sensitive info. Smile
