Why wear a ribbon?

"I wear the Lime Ribbon for my daughter who had Lyme Disease." (dawn21)

MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

This is the same thing that is in the energy drinks (taurine.) Except, of course you don't want the energy drinks because of the sugar. I've tried it, it does give you a little energy boost. It also suppresses your appetite, which isn't a good thing, if you don't have one like me.

I'm an Advocate

IDK, Ron, I'd be a little concerned, only because I found it a little difficult to find EXACTLY what ingredients were in what products. I did finally find them, but it seemed a bit misleading to me when I was reading the site. I'd do a bit more research on it before I considered buying it. Also, considering that it's used in energy drinks, you want to be REALLY super-careful that you aren't getting anything that has ephedra or anything like that in it. Ephedra is really bad for you, has been implicated in strokes, etc. You just want to be careful with what you're taking and be sure you know it's safe. Do the research carefully before you buy. Be sure it's safe!! I'm not too sure I'd go with this one...

*hugs*

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Something has changed within me/Something is not the same/I'm through with playing by/The rules of someone else's game/Too late for second-guessing/Too late to go back to sleep/It's time to trust my instincts/Close my eyes and leap...I'm through accepting limits/Cuz someone says they're so/Some things I can not change/But till I try I'll never know/Too long I've been afraid of/Losing love I guess I lost/Well if that's love/It comes at much too high a cost/I'd sooner buy Defying Gravity/Kiss me good-bye I'm Defying Gravity/I think I'll try Defying Gravity/And you won't bring me down...

You are always SEARCHING and that is so nice for the rest of us! I am not sure, taurine is a supp that I used to take and it is one product (that site) that a friend of mine tried who turned to Zrii-amalaki juice--wowsers the price tag on that is atrocious. But, I bought a pack of the Zrii on ebay- it's a 'network marketing' 'deal' which is my only turn off , ye old pyramid scheme BUT it IS apparently a good product from what I have heard, so distributors benefit and don't have to feel guilty for it does have a good rep, aparently... Since my other half declared a moratorium on spending I guess I can't try that one. But sounds good for sure. Thanks . Wonder what the price tag is> Blush
