Hi Davmark, Coffee enemas are for detoxing the liver.

Coffee enemas are not necessarily a 'Lyme treatment'.. but I highly, and I mean HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who needs to detox.

By doing coffee enemas I am able to tolerate my Lyme treatment which consists of many toxic Rx's, some of which have a black box warning.

Since doing the coffee enemas I no longer have the horrible side affects from the med's and I'm able to function now.. and work.. and be a pleasant and happy person while taking a large amount of medicine to kill the Lyme & Co. bacteria.

I have also tripled my intake of probiotics.. even though the use of probiotics during ABX treatment is controversial. I take 2 formulas by Jarrow Formulas:

1. Saccharomyces Boulardii + MOS: (This is one strand that supposedly you can take with ABX).

2. Ultra Jarro-Dophilus: (40 billion beneficial strands per capsule).

I take 2 of each probiotic (4 total) every morning with my supplements and breakfast. Then I take 2 of each at night right before I go to sleep.

I've never thought I'd be one to think abt doing an enema, but I am intrigued with coffee enemas lately.

Jojo, I can relate on so many levels and have so many similar symptoms.

I can really empathize with your sense of being overwhelmed in school. I couldn't return for my senior spring semester, I'm just finishing up course work at home. Even that is proving a struggle.

I would get so anxious and so overwhelmed at school that I was often just at a stand still. I'd get behind and more overwhelmed, it was a vicious cycle. I felt like all of the anxiety and stress just made me more sick. Handling the social facet of school on top of the course work is just an insanely difficult load to carry.

I would definitely get tested for strep. Keep in mind our immune systems are busy enough, and that we're very susceptible.

I'm on IV doxy and tindemax now. Were you pulsing the tindemax? My doc is putting me on tinemax Mon-Thur and Rifampin on Fri-Sun to avoid too big of a herx. I'm dying anyways, but partially because I started Nystatin and Diflucan for my candida...so I think I'm herxing from both sides.

Hang in there. I hope you don't have strep :/

Detox. We used Welchol to bind toxins in gut so it didn't get reabsorbed. It seemed to help. My kid felt worse if she missed doses, so she was always careful after that to be compliant.

Need to be careful about when to take it, do not take anything else at the same time, or it will get bound up too.

Welchol is described in Dr. Burrascano's "Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease" 16th edition. Betty's probably got it posted under the Forums tab and you can find the free pdf through Google.

Also epsom salt baths helped alot and drinking alot of filtered water.

What??

Hi there,

A lot of people/doctors, etc., say when you take ABX.. you kill all bacteria in body-- good and bad bacteria.

And if you take probiotics when taking ABX, the ABX will just kill-off the good bacteria you are paying lots of money for in the form of supplemental probiotics.

I don't know what to believe, so I take very expensive probiotics-- but I always wonder if the ABX is just going to kill the good bacteria off..

My personal experience with probiotics is that I can't tell if they help me or not.. right now I choose to spend my money on them.

Welchol (which you need a RX for) is like activated charcoal (a supplement you can buy anywhere).

One day I was desperate and having a horrible herx reaction because I was so toxic because my LLMD never taught me about detox. The charcoal helped only after taking 6 capsules.

I have not had a bad herx reaction EVER since doing coffee enemas and have increased and changed ABX's and added Flagyl (doing fine on this so far) and diflucan for yeast.

I have had die-off's from the medication, but the coffee enemas have made the die-off's or herxes tolerable.. and I can function much better in life.

I do have a very clean diet, the only thing I eat out of a box is McCains oatmeal, popcorn (on occasion) with coconut oil, sugar free almond milk, and occasionally I will eat a vegan, gluten free, sugar free desert from wholefoods (Can't remember the name-- 2 flavors; choc. mint and lemon tart).

I've also started eating more fruit, dairy on occasion and eggs.. I'm just trying to vary my diet and try new things.. so far, no issues with food ever since doing coffee enemas.. but, everyone is different.

I never thought I would be doing coffee enemas. I started off doing regular enemas.. and could tell they were making me feel better. Then I started reading about Gerson Therapy for cancer-- the diet and coffee enemas.

I figured I had nothing to loose to try the diet and enemas. The 1st time I was nervous. The second time it got better. Now, it's part of my life-- no big deal and it really helps me feel better!

Hi Jensen, I am doing the coffee enemas 5-7 days a week all by my little selfWink

I researched a lot! First thing I did was watch the Gerson Miracle on Netflix. Then I watched a bunch of other related movies.. there's 3-4 movies about this Gerson therapy diet/coffee enema treatments.

Then I watched a few YouTube videos.

I read the Gerson web and every website I could find regarding the diet and enemas.

Here's a good link and where I buy the coffee:

http://www.sawilsons.com/basicenema.htm

Sometimes I will do the castor oil pack prior to coffee enema. Here's anther good link:

http://www.kimberlysnyder.net/blog/2009/08/05/the-castor- pack-detox-an-important-home-detoxing-method/

Also found a great link right here on MDJ:

http://www.mdjunction.com/forums/candidiasis-discussions/ general-support/1456442-coffee-enemas

I bought the bucket/tube and holster for bucket for like $6. The coffee must be organic and you must use spring/distilled water and a non-aluminum pot to boil coffee.

I started with regular enemas to practice. First coffee enema was a little scary. Second one was easier and now I love it!

I know, it sounds weird-- but very intriguing.. I just love the way it makes me feel after I do it. Weird, but true. I have never felt so non-toxic before in my life.

And if you saw my 1st posts on here.. or go back and read them.. I was freaking out.. I was so toxic.!! And now I'm not. So there's that. I shall continue doing coffee enemas probably the rest of my life.

PM me if you want.
