MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

So I had my latest LLMD appt today and found out that I am in Stage 3 Adrenal Fatigue.

What are the stages and etc. so I can "see" where I'm at on the scale from healthy to failure?

I will be staring hydrocortisone 10 mg for 3 months, then re-assessing. Then probably will be switching to herbal/natural adrenal support stuff.

I am staying the course for my Babs and Lyme treatment, and detoxing, juicing, and resting.

My llmd said that juicing IS AWESOME for Lymies! The more green, the better. It really helps to bind those toxins and send them packing through our waste systems. Smile

So if you haven't caught my blog on juicing with Lyme, read it and get inspired! I've got pics and lists to help people get motivated and everything. So if you can, get juicing.

www.LaurensLymeLife.blogspot.com is where you can read my juicing stuff. It's two entries--the latest two.

Okay, so if anyone has input on the adrenal stages, etc., please let me know. Thanks!

Lauren

Was diagnosed with Autonomic Disorder, POTS, Interstitial Cystitis, and Fibromyalgia. True story is I have late stage Lyme which has caused these things. Just began the fight in October 2011 (have been full-blown Lyme since Sept. 5, 2010), and WILL be victorious! Positive bands: IgG 41 and 60; IgM 23 and 41. CDC positive!

Wis - The most important thing you need to address is what hormone/s are causing your adrenals to be low. Most people with low cortisol levels have an elevated, T3 reversal. This is called "Wilson's Syndrome".

My LLMD put me on Hypothyroid meds with out acknowledging my adrenals, causing my cortisol levels to go down even further, putting me into Adrenal Failure!!!

I would not take the cortisol by itself without a thyroid med (Armour or compounded) as this MIGHT cause you to put weight on.

Here is a link to Hypothyroidism. It is the Holy Grail when it comes to getting Adrenal/Thyroid answers!!!

You still have a weight problem right? I saw your other post. With a Hyper thyroid you should be thin, if not there's a T3, T4, T3 reversal issue. When this happens it causes adrenal issues making you gain weight.

This is what is referred to as "Central Hypothyroidism" or if you have an adrenal/hypopituitary issue, "Secondary, Central Hypothyroidism".

I also am Hyper on my TSH but my T3 reversal is elevated. My a.m. adrenal levels are extremely low. I see you have Fibro as one of your DX. Wilson's Syndrome is very common with Fibro.

Interesting... You are great Raven. Thanks. Yes, I have "fibro"... And I am overweight, but currently losing. I've lost 45 pounds in the last year. So I don't know what to think with that factor. I'm about 175 right now.

I'm going to google these things and ask my doc if she could do another thyroid panel I think.

Everything you need to know is on the website I added. Are you still taking HCI drops? If those are helping, then that tells me you have a growth hormone deficiency & have Wilson Syndrome with a HPA axis. (hypothalamus/pituitary/adrenal)

Everything you have stated sound exactly the same to what I have. Do as much research as you can. Remember, Wilson's syndrome doesn't exist as far as main stream medicine is concerned.

Ooooof course it doesn't... Like everything else that matters. Tongue

Thanks Raven. I will do my research! You are the best. Thanks!

Oh, and I was doing hCG. And no, I'm not on those anymore. Not sure what HCI drops are. ?? Those were strictly for weight loss, signaling the body to pull energy from fat stores and not muscle and bone.

I will be reading up on this stuff tomorrow. Thanks!

I'm sorry, HCI is the root endocrine mineral, Gold Chloride. I meant to write HCG drops. HCG is for the growth hormone deficiency.

Of course not, why would the medical field recognized anything we have from this horrid disease.

Hi, too tired tonight but I will try to post here tomorrow or the next day. I'm addressing adrenal fatigue and thyroid issues also. Yet another thing docs could have treated over the years but did NOT. (Regardless of the underlying Lyme.)

Anyway! My rev T3 is 426 or something. My TSH is around .85. Two GREAT books are "why do I still have thyroid symptoms when my lab tests are normal" by Kharrazain and another "adrenal fatigue" by J. Wilson.
