Yay for Weasy!

breakaway - you didn't mention how long you'd been on herbs/abx, or what type, etc.

Usually if you feel worse while you are ON them, it's a herx and indicates a need to detoxify more.

If you feel worse afterward, and it's only a few days, that may indicate that you have coinfections that are resuming their progression.

Lyme bacteria cycles (reproduction & changes in/out of cyst forms) are around 4 weeks. Co-infection cycles tend to be shorter. Babesia is ~ 4-6 days, I think Bartonella is shorter, but I'd have to look that up.

As ticks are nature's dirty needles, and can pick up infections from a variety of hosts, they can transfer several infections to you in one bite. If you've had multiple bites, the chances for co-infections increases dramatically.

I'd also like to reiterate what Weasy stated, that Lyme should be treated a minimum of 2-3 months AFTER all symptoms have disappeared.

All the best to you!

I am not a doctor, just a patient striving for recovery and hoping to offer support to others, too! Many blessings to you!

Any information offered is just sharing my experience and friendly advice, NOT a prescription. You should use your own judgment and discretion when making health care decisions.

When people have co-infections that come back after antibiotics have stopped, what kind of symptoms do you normally get?
