So I just tried again to take an epsom salt bath. I actually had a pretty good day yesterday and was feeling okay today, until I got out of the tub. Now I am out of it and fatigued etc... What causes this? Should I keep trying to do the baths? It's not a good feeling at all.

How hot was the water? If the water was too hot, you crossed the threshold from detoxing to herxing.

I don't know the exact temperature, it was definitely warm and the water slowly leaks so I have to put more hot water in occasionally throughout the bath, so it could have been too hot? It doesn't feel too hot to me, but maybe is too hot for my body now that I have lyme? blah

It's just that it's the 2nd time that this exact same thing has happened. I feel okay before I take one, then when I'm done, I am totally fatigued and out of it. Feeling more with it now, about 3 hrs later now. I'm thinking I take them too hot.

I did start a journal, but haven't noticed any patterns yet...

Yeah cause I mean as you know, when you heat your body, you sweat and the toxins stored in your fat cells are passed through the pores.

This is great for removing the toxins from the bacteria but when the temperature is too hot, you end up killing the bacteria.

You end up killing the bacteria at a faster rate than you can detox. Hence a possible cause for your ailing.

When this happens to me I use Burbur Detox to eliminate the herx.

Don't forget that the Magnesium in the Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt) relaxes your muscles so you will naturally feel tired after an Epsom Salt Bath

Yeah, it's more than just tired, it's like almost pass out feelings and my brain was mushier and I felt shaky. Nervous to try taking one again after 2 times of this.

Ok, yeah that is definitely what I was going through. Many times I would feel as if I was going to pass out after I got out of the bath. Definitely a herx.

I would have to sit down in a chair for about 20 mins.

Alright, I'm glad I'm not the only one! From what I read, people said it made them feel better, so I was wondering why I was feeling so much worse. Oh isn't lyme fun.

No, it will definitely make you feel better but make sure your water isn't as hot the next time.

See if that does anything for ya!
