Ok getting back into my Lyme treatment just went on a huge spending spree for vitamins and suplements

that said haven't paid the electric bill so this could be a cold recovery

also which is the best multi vitamin to add to the mix of the other stuff

the lifepak is just too expensive for me I have to find one a bit more affordable,

thanks

Is there a link that I can see what is up/coming with the supplement, vitamins, etc. Keep seeing various post about how things are going to change and people should stock up but don't know what is causing it.

THANKS

Hi beenslymed-

I really can't give a biased opinion on this, I don't believe in multivitamins...I like to take the true source of the supplement and not a heavily combined one..for me, I feel that combining too many things into one pill isn't the best way to utilize the nutrients from it.

Don't get me wrong, some of my supplements have a combination of things, but a true and basic multivitamin...it's not something I do, nor does my doc recommend.

It's just how I feel personally, so hopefully others here that take one will post and give you the name of what they take..

Good for you for taking the plunge, and I pray the electricity bill gets taken care of anyway..I have faith it will.

Blessings to you.

peace-kim

All of my advice comes from research and personal experience. I strongly suggest that you each check with your doctor for approval before changing or adding anything to your treatment.

Peace . . . starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.

I've played around with the vit-supplement thing a bit...

Before I could get "in" to my LLMD....I was gun-low(high really) I printed the diet Betty had from Dr. Burr........and I went shoppin for all those

Vit and Supplemnts I thought would benifit me..

Thank God..and due to my LLMD bein' more Holistic vs Regular...I got a whole different array of things...

Yes..I got a supplement(vit and all) from him...along with some individual stuff to compliment it.. like Mag....and then after a while finding I was still short B12 we added that....

Yes the stuff is not cheap...but I found I was really payin' a little less than all the crap that didn't work...

the multisupplement Doc uses....is only a 1/2teaspoon! Dane that bottle of powder goes a Longgggggggg way...

Point in all this...I feel the (multi)supplement along with a few added was and is a major help....but it was the Good stuff.....not junk from Walmart and that catalog...umm Swanson or something like that..

Ya gotta find the right product..the right balance that works for you...and last....the budget...some of my stuff, I can find the same NAME products that work well for me...else where...sometimes Vitacost and othes have a sale...etc etc...

I also...trimed my food bill big time....found cheaper things but GOOD for me to eat..I make more...like soups ...stews...etc....at home...they last a long time..and the ingredient are cheap enough...

Beenslmed...I'm with you...this all SUCKS and is so wrong..and it for sure is a $ cruncher....but don't you give up!

Stick to your guns..figure out what's workin'...find a way that works for you......

best to you,

WLk=Cool

Mowgli.... sure.....but bear with me, some changes where made...here goes.

The product was provided by my Doc it was called Ultra Preventive 3 powder......along with #7systemic Booster by Therapeutic Foods...

Here's the kicker...Douglas Labs that made the Ultra prev 3 no longer provides that...I stocked up...so I got a bit for a while...

The new one that will replace that will be Vit-Min Spectrum Powder...

it was half teaspon before..now it will be a full teaspoon...the Systemic Booster still at 1 tble....

The Mag.......I happen to take the chelated..but there are many kinds that are good...I get that from Viticost...

Now....not to make all this worthless....but I notice my Doc does alot of different things.....male vs female...and what he see's.....

So this may not be for you.....????

But lets not give up here....I was reading somewhere..that you can find a good Vit-Min powder..if you know what to look for..If I remember correctly it should always contain Botin...

I can't remember where I was readin' perhaps Dr. Mecola got me started..

think it was there....tellin' what to look for in a good Vit-Min..

mowgli...my multi and Mag may not be what your system needs..Dam..I do wish some answers would be easy for all of us.....but is not..

Do you have an LLMD? or a good NP? They may be able to steer you..You can also do your own search.. Hint you will find most and lots of good

Doc's use certain brands...

Douglas Lab,, Xymogen,, beyond balance...etc..seem common..as they have trust in them........and so on....

I know you don't need me to tell you....but if it's cheap cheap...it's probably exactly that!

You may want to do a search here on MDJ...long time ago I think I remember talkin' to Tara T on this subject...perhaps you can find some old posts that will help you?

Never simple......but dig deep....research...don't forget to come up for air Wink

best to you and all,

WLk=Cool

Thanks guys hanging by a thread here. Hope they perk me up soon and help with some of my pain.

I don't take any pain medication and try tokeep myself detoxed but I let everything lapse really bad

So for the last couple of weeks I have felt like going to the emergency room and just dying everyday.

I can't believe how fast downhill I went and now the herx is so bad.

I need groceries and to clean and my kids need tobe cared for. My poor family needs me.

Also been getting really weepy in the afternoon and evening which I know is a herx. been thru it before.

Relief cannot come soon enough.

This cold cold weather in VA is not helping with my mood I can't stand being locked in the house without the windows and doors open.

Cabin fever is really sitting in. and the guilt. Recovery is often like dying.

I have done it before so I can do get backto functioning better again just keep thinking I will feel better tmrw. but tmrw never comes.
