djfilippone"Before I found this site I felt so alone.  Watching my daughter struggle with IH and being treated like she had two heads from doctors.    I have plenty of family and friends but there was nobody that really knew what she was going through.
I not only have support and love from others who will listen and share their
story, but I have made some forever friends.  Having this support site does make a difference to many.

I have a yeast infection and am on nystatin and Diflucan. I am using OTC vaginal suppositories too. I take Oil of oregano, garlic, and olive leaf. I am also drinking nettle tea along with all the probiotic trimmings.

I was up in the night because I am uncomfortable and ordered candex, Yeast defense, more probiotics and something called yeast arrest that contains boric acid.

has anyone tried the yeast arrest or boric acid for yeast?

I haven't but I sure would like to know. I've stopped all my antibiotics, I was on them for 9 months and couldn't eat anymore and was nauseated all the time. I haven't taken them for a month...I just couldn't take it anymore. And now I can at least eat. I was originally dx'd with yeast infection along with Lyme. I've lost 40lbs, force feeding myself, drinking Ensure, just plain bs. I was also on Nystatin for 9 months. So I'm not sure what I'm doing at the moment, just not taking ABX that's for sure.

HI Jeanette-

I'm pretty sure that Ensure has a high content of sugar in it..can you try eating organic , plain yogurt instead?

I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time ..please keep supplementing and adding minerals to replace what has been depleted, that will help rebalance you.

Blessings to you.

All of my advice comes from research and personal experience. I strongly suggest that you each check with your doctor for approval before changing or adding anything to your treatment.

Peace . . . starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.

Ok.....slight confusion, there is Boric Acid...and Borax.....

In my neck of the woods...Boric Acid is for ants and roaches and Borax cleans greasy hands......

However....there's talk about both here........(not sure I agree with it all....jury may be out on some of it...I feel the Epsom salt baths helps lots).....

http://www.mdjunction.com/forums/lyme-disease-support- forums/general-support/90020-interesting-information-about- epsom-salt

This below posted by another member...I'm not sure I agree with what was said.....I feel....the stuff CAN go through skin as stuff does go out as well......

the basic Lyme detox baths have been around for years and tears the recipe is basically 1- 1.5 lbs of epsom salts in a full very warm bath ( IF you have any sx of dusatonomias or feel faint with heat dont make too hot--you cannot get your core temp up high enough to kill spirochetes as rumored and youll only faint or get very ill anyway)

then after about 5-10 minutes you add 8-16 oz of hydrogen peroxide and stay another 15-20 minutes

its a bit false to say anything much can be absorbed into the body--its relaxing and it may coax muscles to start moving toxins but before and after tests show that magnesium levels arent really raised afterwards.

and when taken internally mag sulfate ( epsom salts) acts like a weak calcium channel blocker and may affect heart rateso if it were absorbed at any sort of significant amount it would be far more dangerous.

theyve even studied boric acid and borax and found that little/tiny amounts are absorbed

the mamallian skin system is good at what it was designed to do--keep inside stuff in and outside stuff out!!

enjoy but dont expect "detox".

I just went to the garage to look at Boric Acid for Ants and Roaches...

It says remove contact with skin fast! So my take is this stuff does go through the skin....and can effect health...

I'm gonna stick with the epsom salt baths until I see actual sites that say it's ok for me to lay with the roaches.....Laughing
