Julz - I know that it can be hard to handle - that particular one was one of the very few abx that I had adverse reactions to...not allergic - but adverse reactions...

And i do believe they are in the same family...

Remember that when you use eyedrops, it goes into your sinuses which dumps into the back of your throught...then your tongue - getting into the glands in your mouth...which is a quicker at getting into your blood...so I would say you are taking a 50/50 chance...

Hope this helps

Christine

Hi:

Thanks much for the info...She the (doctor) said its not an infection, she really believe allergies...She gave me OPTIVAR allergia drops for the eyes. She also wants me to see an eye specialist as the one eye looks funny to here when she look via the light into my eye...I just had my eyes done by an MD in September and said all looked AOK...She said she see's this when its allergies but rather play safe....

I give up already enough is enough...

Thanks again

J

Hi:

My doctor just called as the doctor I saw today called him...That is what I love about my Dr. Well he is sending me to the allergist on Monday to try and figure out what abx I can take for this sinus infection. (5 hours playing the wait and see game) Then to the eye doctor to make sure the eyes are AOK, which he feels are....he also wants me to go for a CT of the sinus. Like I told him, I had sinus surgery 15 years ago, and I will not do that one again...

I have had this sinus things since my cold in september ENOUGH already....

I did not start the OPTIVAR drops yet, sorta scared to since Jim is out of town, I have reactions to so much...But I might tomorrow as I can't stand the buring in my eyes much longer....I just feel awful at the moment due to the sinus....

For my 50th Birthday this year all I want is a NEW body, nothing more nothing less...Smile

Thanks all

Hugs

Julie

That's awesome he takes care of you so well!

Have you ever done that biofeedback testing so many here have talked about?? Seems like it could be a good idea to try-- figure out med options for you since it's so hard on you to do the wait & see thing, and so risky.

I've been trying to see if I can find a place locally to do that myself. My doctor did do the muscle testing with me, and that told us a lot.

And I don't blame you for not wanting to do the sinus surgery again. Goodness-- hubby had surgery for a deviated septum 5 years ago, and it was AWFUL for him. Just seeing what he went through, I will NEVER consider it, and my sinuses are awful all the time.

Hang in there--

Hi:

Oh that was awful that surgery...It was like having a tampon up your nose for 4 days...YUCK...

I did the muscle testing when I first got lyme...Funny he did say the lyme was in my sinus (but then I have had bad sinus since I was a young child)....He had me on a bunch of natural stuff until one day I woke up and had hives all over...I'm lucky to be able to take an asprin....And it sucks...

Yes my Dr. is a wonderful caring Dr. he called me from home...As the other Dr. in his office I've only seen her twice and she told me she was going to call him about all this...

So next week will be a very busy week...Allergist, then the kidney Dr. and Heart Dr. Enough already...

Oh, poor hun! I'm so sorry Julie, I missed this earlier. I hope you're feeling better. I did send you a PM for some stuff you might be able to do to help wash your eyes out and see if they help you some! Hope you get to feeling better soon!

*hugs*

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Something has changed within me/Something is not the same/I'm through with playing by/The rules of someone else's game/Too late for second-guessing/Too late to go back to sleep/It's time to trust my instincts/Close my eyes and leap...I'm through accepting limits/Cuz someone says they're so/Some things I can not change/But till I try I'll never know/Too long I've been afraid of/Losing love I guess I lost/Well if that's love/It comes at much too high a cost/I'd sooner buy Defying Gravity/Kiss me good-bye I'm Defying Gravity/I think I'll try Defying Gravity/And you won't bring me down...
