Ever since I was bit by a tick I have had nerve problems on one side of my head& face.

The problems get worse then better all the time, never completely going away.

I have been getting treated for lyme for 5 months and things were going in the right direction, until this nerve thing came on really strong, and all of my symptoms came back very quickly.

It starts out where one side of my head is tingling, my face(one side) feels like I have a piched nerve, my ear, check bone, jaw all hurt. The pinched nerve feeling goes down that side of my neck and arm.

Then literally overnight so many symptoms came back, ringing in my ears, fever, chills, shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, swollen face & eyes, memory loss etc.

Any suggestions as to what this is & why so many symptoms coming back?

Hi bal40-

Do you know or have you ever been tested for herpes/HHV6?

Also where were you bit by the tick?

Are they only treating you for lyme, or do you have co-infections as well?

What are you on for treatment?

Once we start treatment, it tends to bring out all of our symptoms..you may be herxing, or this may be an infection that's being provoked..

What you need to do now is figure out what infection this is..when is your next llmd appointment?

Are you doing anything for detox?

Peace . . . starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.

Bal40 - I think Kim is right about this. I also have HHV-6 & experience the same problems.

If thisis what you have, small calcified cysts/granules are building up underneath your skin, causing pressure on your facial nerves. This is caused by Roseola (HHV-6) Demodex.

I found the best thing to do is, wipe your face down with apple cider vinegar, then take a mixture of cumin/warm water and brush it on your face with a 1"-2" brush (from walmart)

The apple cider vinegar will help kill the Demodex & the cumin will pull the calcified cyst out from your pore. This will ease the pressure on your nerves, giving you relief.

You can also take a bath in this to help with your entire body.

Thanks for the replies!

I tested negative for HHV6, my co infections are mycoplasma and babesia.

I am on ceftin & azithromycin.

I was bit on the left side of my head, the same side that I am having problems.

I do not think it is herxing because I went four years after the bite before I was diagnosed and this has happened over and over again in the four years.

The only thing I am doing for detox is epsom salt baths, I am open to any suggestions for detox.

I will be seeing my LLMD later this week, hoping he will know what it is, however I have learned that so much of the treatment is guessing and trial and error!

Hi bal40-

I think you answered your own question..it's where the tick bit you..

Treating for the infections you have with the correct medicine will resolve this issue.

Let us know how you do at the llmd appointment..you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Bal40- If you tested neg. for HHV-6, I would skip the apple cider vinegar but I would still try using the cumin/water mix for the mycoplasma infection.

Mycoplasma loves to collect in your nasal/sinus cavities & calcify, putting pressure on your facial nerves. Cumin will help break this up & pull it out from underneath your skin.

It's cheap & you have nothing to lose by trying it.
