Hey guys,

Just a quick question for the group - I know that each of us has

symptom changes pretty regularly from day to day, but lately I have

been having

symptom changes intraday. For example, I'll wake up feeling relatively

good, then at some point in the day - seemingly unprovoked - I'll have

symptom flares. Sometimes I then go on with symptoms throughout the day

other times they resolve after a few hours and I am back to feeling

relatively good again. Does anyone else experience this kind of symptom

variability? I definitely don't think it is a reaction to any

particular foods, as this sort of symptom change can happen regardless

of whether or not I have eaten in the past few hours. Thoughts?

Similar experiences?

Thanks again for all the support!

I have had lyme for 3 years although I was only diagnosed a few days ago. When I am not going through a "flare" where my symptoms are constant,I experience what you describe. I call it "waves"

Thanks for your response! That is interesting that you experience this too. Its strange to, at one point, think that you are going to have a great, symptom free day, and then for the symptoms to come on all of a sudden, only to go away a few hours later.

While I did say that I didn't think it was related to food, I am thinking that that might not be the case. I actually seem to get the waves when I haven't eaten in a while. Maybe the combination of the lyme and low energy level brought on by not eating for a while brings about they symptoms.

Oh yeah, I get this type of thing all the time. Headaches come and go, pain comes and goes, cough, chest pain, allergy-like symptoms, brain fog, vision issue, etc.

Those are the good days. On the bad days, they just stick around and trade off whose on first.

I am not a doctor, just a patient striving for recovery and hoping to offer support to others, too! Many blessings to you!

Yes this definitely happens. A nap will get rid of some of the symptoms temporarily.
P23 and P41 bands positive, IBS like symptoms caused by possible candida, herbal and antiobiotic treatment, gluten free, candida diet.

I do not have a medical license so my suggestions are limited to personal experience and research. Also I am not a lawyer so if I offer advice relating to school issues it is only from my experiences as a special education teacher, my own disabilities real or Lyme induced, and research.

Most definitely! Happens to me all the time.

I wake up in the morning feeling blah but then as I wake up I feel pretty good.

Then maybe for 2 or 3 hours half way through the day I'll feel a little week or something and then I start to feel good again like it never even happened.

I like to think of a flare up as some Spirochetes being located and getting their butts kicked =P
