I feel i have to post this. as I have been doing some research with a friend. I dont even know where to start. Most of us have viruses in our bodies, ie chicken pox (it goes dormant), hsv1 or 2, there are so many. WELL, if any of you have had an cortisone, it awakens these viruses!!!! VERY DANGEROUS you can ask for testing on this to find out just how bad it is, I think thru quest is the best. I am still gather info, BUT if you are like me and have insane amounts of pain, it's a posibility. SOmething to research and look into. Simple answer, an antivirul, like Valtrex, the best is valcite, but it's $50 a pill!!! ouch. there's a doc at Stanford doing a study, and his results are amazing. A girl thought she had LD, and she still could, but she has seen a HUGE improvement on antiviruls. I wonder if those of us with active viruses are causing more inflamation for the LD and just making it worse. scary stuff. She is now into Valcyte 5months, she didn't notice improvement until the 4th month. She has not been on abx in the past 5 months and is still being tested for LD occassionally and guess what? Her Lyme titers are dropping on Valcyte, read what she says below to why this happening! It is as if the viruses inflammed a possible old LD infection.
