When I am about to doze off and in a relaxed state, my leg, foot, hand, something will jerk and then I will get a wired, hyped feeling throughout my upper body, like someone just scared you to death feeling.

I also have heart PVC's.

It takes a while to resolve and just as I'm dozing off again it happens over and over. I am so tired.

Someone mentioned it could be an inner ear problem?

is this related to the PVC's or is this Lyme/co-infection symptom?

Has anyone had this besides me and what did you do to control it?

I'm getting worse by the day. I'm currently on Ceftin and Zithromax.

Thanks for any advice.

Sometimes I will get like that. I will start to relax and then my limbs will feel as though they want to move. Kind of like a restless leg or arm type of feeling.

That doesn't happen too often to me but I'm sure it's caused by Lymes

I get that a lot. My doctor said the lyme is affecting your cerebellum. It makes your brain think you are falling thats why you get that goofy feeling and body parts will jump. It's a result of your body being overly dizzy, even though you really don't think you feel dizzy.

Also, antibiotics make this worse for a while because antibiotics are very hard on the cerebellum. The only thing that has helped me it to sleep with my head elevated. That helps make your cerebellum not be so dizzy.

Restless Leg Syndrome, that's what my neurologist "thinks" I had too. Sorry, but I don't have this urge to move my legs at night, and putting the bar of soap in between the sheets doesn't help either!
I got screwed by Lyme Disease!

is there something you can take or do for it? I got a little dizzy today and had the same thing happen. First time it happened while I was awake.

when it happens I get a very hyped feeling in my chest and my BP spikes.

there really isn't anything I know of that helps. The better I get, the less and less I have these spells. Maybe someone else has a suggestion.

Magnesium is supposed to help RLS a lot, and does seem to help me. I take chelated Magnesium.

There are others on the forum that prefer other forms.

I have also found that when I use the Flora Sleep flower essence from FES that I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, in general with fewer twitches.

However, if I'm in a bad herx and really, really twitchy, I can't say that either of these helps then. It's a matter of degree.

For general maintenance, and most nights, those two things work well for me.

I am not a doctor, just a patient striving for recovery and hoping to offer support to others, too! Many blessings to you!
