Hello All,

Little background:

I have been sick since June 2010 when I got bit. I have done IV, IM, and oral abx. I found the IM Bicillin the most helpful. I stopped treatment around June 24th. 11 months straight of abx.

My main symptoms now are fatigue. I just do a lot less. I work, cook etc but I am more tired than I used to be, I need to rest and sit more. I still get a strange feeling in my toes and fingers and waves of exhaustion, and a "lyme headache" every two weeks, instead of everyday.

So my question is: what would you do? I am curious about other people's opinions. My LLMD is okay with a break for now. My Neuro & GP think my disease is done and what is left is an autoimmune response. I have come a long long way. I was living with intense horrible 24/7 pain and could not even get out of bed many days. I am in little pain now, but very tired.

I think something is stll wrong, with me. Maybe the Bart is not treated yet.

Any thoughts and opinions would be great.

I have had it tested a number of times, and it seems to be working well. No weight issues or hair loss etc.

It can happen that you are done with the lyme and confections but the lyme has done a number on your immune system and especially the mitochondria which affects your sleep, fatigue and brain fog.

Our whole family had lyme, and many other co infections. We had been using these products and helping others with it but in February a new product came out that helps heal the mitochondria.

http://brainfoodscience.blogspot.com/

I put this on a blog so as to help others understand how this can help you.

I recently worked with a family of five with chronic lyme, on IV's for years and when they started this they felt great. They are off their IV's. Their doctors are now looking into this. Just the beginning will share more as things happen with this.

Would share more specifics if anyone wants to learn. Let me know if I can answer and questions. Hope this helps.

God Bless,

Stephanie

The symptoms you have now are some of what sent me to the LLMD. (fatigue, strange feelings in limbs, waves of exhaustion, in addition to sweating, eye pain, "sinus" pain, sacral pain, and flares every two weeks.)

I was infected last August.

So far my fatigue is 99% gone, I only have a rare wave of exhaustion, I have some stabbing pain in one of my joints, and I did not have my two week flare this week.

I personally can understand a medicine break.

Personally, I think you have the potential for more recovery once you are ready to continue treatment.

How long did you go without any antibiotics from the time of your infection to before you got proper treatment?

It wasn't a snake in the garden of eden, it was a spirochete.

I think I went 6 weeks being infected before treatment, it spread a lot in those 6 weeks. Horribly neuro.

Did you have your adrenals checked? Horrible fatigue for me was the adrenals. I had a saliva test done and my cortisol numbers are REALLY low all throughout the day.

Have you had a saliva test done? Lyme is known for messing with the adrenals. For me, I would HAVE to sit down or it felt like I would just fall over. I cannot even stand and cut up veggies anymore. Need to sit at the table and do it.

I believe babesia can cause excessive fatigue.

Bart is very difficult to get rid off from what I hear. I'm struggling with it right now and it is my main problem. I do notice that my bart symptoms seem to flare on 7 and 14 day cycles.

Feels like everyday I'm alone. Not because I don't have any friends around me at the time, just because no one understands what I really feel like everyday.

I pretend to be happy so I don't have to explain myself to people who'll never understand.

Lyme totally messes with the entire endocrine system...

Those were some of the last things to go for me too...

I started out with an adrenal support product - helped a lot...

But when I got on Maca - which is a wholefood supplement - I proceeded to enter remission for the first time in 30 years...Maca nurishes the ENTIRE endocrine system - but really helps the pituitary, thyroid and adrenals...

PM me and I can give you the run down on what I take to maintain my health...

And yes - residual effects from Lyme...much can be reversed...but it seems I now have permanent IBS. My nerve issues have nearly fully recovered...was heading down the road of Neuropathy...no more now...

Thank you so much for this additional info, I never even thought about Adrenals. I hope to get this salvia test now. It was obvious to my LLMD that I have (had?) Bart as well as lyme. Interestingly enough he also said Babesia could be the reason for this fatigue- maybe he will try treatment for that (which I think is not abx but different kind of med). He later said he was not sure about the Babesia since I had no other symptoms of it. But it might be worth trying the meds for it, since I have almost literally run of our classes of abx to treat with.

I have had a whole spectrum of tests recently from SPECT, CT, MRI of the brain to endoscopy, colonospcy, and all tests point to remission or no problems...I know something is lingering.

I have heard the IBS like issues can take a year after abx stop.
