MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Here is another post I just got, though some of you might be interested:

People, I noticed the messages on your group were getting a bit behind the times, so will try to catch you up. I don't know if you know by now that the CT Medical Board voted to discipline Dr. Jones. The punishment is similar to the one Dr. Burrascano got several years ago. He has to pay a fine and hire a pediatrician to monitor his practice. Of course many people thought he should have been praised, not sanctioned.

If you have the stomach to watch the video, scroll the whatchamacallit under the picture until the time reads about 24:00 minutes because that's when the Jones part starts. They are just talking about who should go first. Since you know the outcome, maybe it won't be so bad to watch - at least, no surprise ending.

At first I thought I couldn't watch it because it would just give me high blood pressure. But later I did watch some of it and it actually was interesting to see how confused the hearing panel had been on the actual evidence. There was no evidence that Dr. J had diagnosed and treated the children for Lyme before they saw him, yet the panel remained convinced that he had. They also said several times, and the official claim was, that the case was not about Lyme disease. It obviously was.

The way the proceedings work is one set of people is the hearing panel. They heard all the evidence, testimony etc. Then they make a recommendation to the full board, none of whom have been to the hearings. There are the final arguments from the opposing attorneys and then some discussion, before the medical board votes. FYI Dr. Goldenberg, who delivered an impassioned speech denigrating Dr. Jones and his attorney, is a plastic surgeon.

They say "Hold your friends close and your enemies closer." I suppose it should help to know what the other side is thinking. That gives us the possibility of combatting the errors.

To see the Medical Board hearing...
