LAST CALL to submit your 5x7 or 8x10 photo SCANNED to me along with a 200 word limit telling the below about yourself please.

so far, i have 3 entries only: me, Lisa from Wisc., and my dear friend Gary from Penn.

NO ONE LOCAL has agreed to participate!

You have until May 30 to get this to me please!

next day i'll be laying everything out on my bed on arranging things for downtown area!

i've ordered 2 boxes full of LDA, ABCs of lyme & their tick cards; 2 boxes full of PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT newspaper, possibly printing 100 copies only of my 6-8 legal size LDA/BETTY brochure which i typed ALL the co-infections/symptoms/treatment in w/books, etc. i'll have a mannequin dressed in long sleeves, long pants, taped in groin area, etc. , wearing gloves, hat, socks over pants legs, tennis shoes, etc.

plus photos of me/YOU FOLKS..FACES OF LYME and the drs. the names are named after, etc.

plus books/videos/tapes ...ames library has about lyme disease, FIBRO, CFS, etc.

this is my 1st attempt at doing this; thank goodness woman i booked this thru will be up in window to do the displaying since my hip is bad and i have claustrophobia BAD!

JUNE, at our ames public library, i'm going to do my FIRST LYME DISEASE DISPLAY to educate folks. so Ames will have month of JUNE as our lyme awareness month!

I am going to have an area for FACES OF IOWA LYME PATIENTS and other states IF they chose to participate;

so i was wanting to start getting photos BY YOUR SCANNING THE PHOTO so you keep ORIGINAL!

Send me the 5x7 or 8x10 and then a brief description of 200 word limit telling how long they have been sick, symptoms, including the below:

who they are,

what city they are from,

what they did for a living BEFORE lyme came along,

how long they've been sick;

and what OTHER ILLNESSES THEY WERE DIAGNOSED WITH PRIOR TO CHRONIC LYME!?

how many total drs/specialists before they got a CORRECT LYME diagnosis!

OR to do this in your own community! May is fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and now LYME disease month celebrated May 12 or 13th yearly.

yes, i'm sorry; it is! i set this all up yesterday and used every inch! i'll paste below what i set out to my lyme list group and on lymenet.org message board.

BUT please write something up, scan a photo, and have it on hand for future. CONTACT ME NEXT MAY 08, i hope to have BOTH 12' window display cabinets .... so lots of room for FACES OF LYME and your story 250-400 LIMIT. thanks for asking though?

july 4th, i'll have table BOOTH set up to hand out anything left from my library display and to ANSWER QUESTIONS of folks that stop by.

IN MY NEWBIE'S INFO I SENT YOU IS A LDA/BETTY BROCHURE I RETYPED FROM SCRATCH AND ADDED MUCH MORE including lda's illegible CO-INFECTIONS OF SYMPTOMS, TREATMENT, books, ETC.

it's 9 pages now, letter size, and i made 200 colated copies; 1800 pages, for 3 cents each page abut $58 copying costs

i've ordered 2 boxes costing $24 of PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT NEWSLETTER PUT TOGETHER BY LYME ADVOCATES, 70 issues per box of current issues or MIXTURE of the older ones == 140 TOTAL COPIES.

these haven't come yet, DAWN, EDITOR, is very sick; when she's better, she'll get them off by FED EX.

i'm taking in tomorrow LDA's lyme petition where we are protesting the new IDSA LYME GUIDELINES, written by the ducks, hurting us chronic lyme patients, and blank sheets for their PRINTED NAMES, STREET, & CITY/STATE ZIP code

so later i'll enter into LDA's computer site and

also another site, LYNN'S, she started going to CONGRESS about our LYME BILL, HR 741, i think is the new no.

i've left my name, address, and EMAIL, so if people have questions, they can contact me.

I DO NOT WANT PHONE CALLS; I'M IN BED SLEEPING AT WIERD TIMES SINCE I'M UP HALF THE NIGHT!!

forgot to add: i borrowed a 3/4 manneqin, sp, from our main st. men's clothier, MOORMAN's, who was just the sweetest heartthrob i've ever met and dealt with! he was outside the door on sidewalk, and i asked if he worked here; yes.

said i was doing about lyme display and would be dressing for gardening, hiking, and walking in woods. asked to borrow one if he had; SURE, NO PROBLEM; I'VE GOT EXTRAS and got one immediately! he didn't ask my name, take my address or phone no!! i volunteered my name; NO COST; and bring it back when you're done with it!

told him too i may it for my july 4th outside booth depending on the weather.

it fit into their display...just barely! dressed her/him in

.. a hubby's yellow long sleeved button down w/collar shirt where i pinned on my thin "used" gardening gloves with dirt on!;

.. my light yellow cotton slacks putting MASKING TAPE around the crotch area and also on shirt around arm pit area

.. since i only had legs going to knee, stuffed rest of slacks into hole underneath and STRUGGLED to put on WHITE SOCKS over pants legs!

.. our JOHN DEERE HAT on the NO HEAD model! pinned up collar on shirt.

.. i'll pin a sheet on it saying why the masking tape was used, etc. plus tincup's recent note abut the various ticks where they LOVE TO BITE US...SPECIFIC AREAS!

this is what i can remember taking/putting up today!!!

will see about them advertising my display set up in newspaper, and there advertising WHICH LYME BOOKS/VIDEOS IF ANY THEY HAVE IN STOCK;

about having a 1-2 hr. teaching Q/A session in their large auditorium

and contacting local radio station for a live interview!

i've been busy folks! every TALL guy who walked by today, i grabbed him. (yes, ladies, i let him go after grabbing him!!) and he hung up my articles at the HIGHEST point of window hanging 2 things per column; 6 total! they were so willing and didn't have the courage to say no!

now i've got to get busy on a girlfriend's daughter's wedding things to make for tops of cakes; 20 silk flowers, ivy, etc.

plus if i ever MAKE THE TIME TO DUST one room at a time; long time coming! bless my sweet hubby, he doesn't say much except he'd like to throw my pc PERMANENTLY AWAY for all the hours i spend here day/night away from him.
