How long did it take for you to feel better after starting anti botics? Also, what were your fist symptoms to "disappear" and what meds were you on?

I stared my abx the 1st week of Aug, felt (a little ok) on my wedding day 9/15/07. Then stared another abx on Oct 16th until the end of Dec, did not feel good until late feb.

My neck pain was the first to let up (not go away) then my burning feeling (gone), numbness was next to leave, still had the knee pain and still do from time to time....

For me, I started a natural protocol with a lot of stuff, if you want to know exactly what, I'll have to PM you, so just send me a PM if you want to know the exact protocol, and I'll tell you! LOL... I started it about 8.5 weeks ago, and I'd say I started feeling improvement after maybe 4 to 6 weeks. I'm still improving every day. I'm still increasing my ab's (I'm doing an all natural protocol including Samento, and I'm still on an EXTREMELY LOW DOSE!!), so I anticipate seeing improvement for a very long time, and I anticipate being in treatment for a very long time. I'm also pretty sure I have Babs and will need to be treated with Artemisinin, which I'm probably going to need to do under the guidance of a doc. So, I anticipate a long-term treatment, and I know there's still stuff to be done.

However, I think that the depression was the first symptom to lift. I didn't notice an immediate change, it was more gradual. I also noticed that I was more mobile and I was much more functional. I think because I've had to increase my meds on a very gradual level, that's probably why I'm noticing such gradual changes. I am having less joint pain, tho still some, but it's definitely improving. I am also having less brain fog and less twitches. I have very little numbness and tingling now, too. So much of my neuropathy is improved.

Again, if you want a full run-down of what I'm taking--heck, I may have already told you, IDK, I've told a bunch of people!--just send me a PM, and I'll give you the protocol.

Ok, that's what's up with me. Hope it helps. I'm sure you'll get a lot of responses, this is a great thread! *hugs*

Jen

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

king,

Please don't take this as a criticism because it certainly isn't.

But it helps me (and probably others) could you give more of a 'clue' as to what your topic is about in the subject line?

For instance---- this subject line might read "How long before feeling better".

Then members might know what you're asking and decide if they have something to say about it.

Just my thoughts. And no judgment implied.
