so, ealier this week, my legs gave out and I fell down the steps. then no time to recover from that, was on my feet nearly every hour of each day, kids home on vacation, getting ready for Thanksgiving and all.

Then yesterday, black friday, I was going to meet my mother in law to do some shopping, I was driving down the center isle of wal mart, and some guy was cutting thru, and slammed into the back quarter of the drivers side of my car! Then he tried to tell me it was my fault. God forgive me for some nasty things trying to defend myself. I finally said "just wait for the cops to get here, both my dads were cops, I know the law"

He even tried argueing with the cop about it, who said to him "she has the right away, you can't just pull thru the parking lot". Unfortunatly, being private property, he didn't get a ticket.

My parents own a body shop, so took the car there this morning, about $1400 of damage, had the police fax a copy of the report over, so we could get his insurance info. Hopefully they will pay.

at the time when the officer asked if everyone was alright, I said yes, but today I'm feeling it big time. Of course, when you take an already damaged body, and suddenly get jolted from the side....OUCH. So I'm not sure how to go about having his insurance pay for a docs visit and maybe even a few massages or something. His ins company was closed, so we couldn't talk to them today. gotta wait till monday.

anyhow...what a week.

love,

j

Jaime! OMG. What a jackass. You poor thing. I'm soooooo glad to hear it wasn't your fault, tho! That's the good news. I hope that you get his insurance to pay for it. They should, since the cops siad it was his fault! That's crazy, what a jerk. So much for Christmas spirit, huh? What a mess...You poor thing!! I'm so sorry!!! *hugs* Love,

Jen

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Jaime...

Ok enough of the "Black cloud" that has been over you.

I would go to the ER and get checked out, sometimes you only have 72 hours to do that or the insurance company won't pay....Check it out...

It never ends sometimes, they say it happens in threes, so if I were you I would stay in on the couch with pillows all around you...

Sending you angles to watch over you...

Hugs my friend

Julie

I am so sorry to hear this Jaime!

I hope you can get off your feet and get some rest....

But since I know, having a little lovey of my own ,that that is Highly unlikely, I can only pray for you to have the strength to get through.

I hope everything works out for you...Keep us posted!

The jerks are out in full force this time of year...especially in parking lots....everyone is SOOOOOO busy that they can't wait 5 extra seconds to exercise a little common sense. OOOOOhhhhh! I'm getting so mad for you just thinking about it!

Feel better soon....K

PS...I'm with Julie...better safe than sorry. Get to the ER and bring his insurance info with you!

this is the only post I'm making today, I can't type well, can't see straight, etc. reallly messed up. good news is, his insurance is coming out to look at the damage on my car, they got a coppy of the police report and it's obviously his fault , so that's good. bad is that I went to docs yesterday, and I do have some internal injury, yeah. gamut of xrays and need to get a CT scan of my brain, worried about concussion, obcousely because mixing up words, can't type right, etc, constant headache, but his insurance I just talked to seemed willing to take care of medical bills too, thank God.

gotta go, very shaky.

love you all

Poor honey, if you have a concussion, be careful of sleeping. Sounds silly but my dad had me watch over my brother all night when he hit his head really hard. The best thing for you to do is rest, which I know may be hard to come-by with kids.

Take it easy and I hope you feel better very soon!

Thank God you went to the doctor! So many people try to act tough and shrug things off. Don't ever tell the insurance company you're feeling better until you are absolutely sure you are. They'll cut you off so quick if you do and then you'll have a helluva time getting anymore help if you still need it.

Take care, Jaime!

went for my CT scan yesterday. Since monday I've been nausieated, vomiting, can't eat, etc....all signs of a concussion I guess, but also lyme. seeing as they put me on zith last month, things have gone downhill fast, so it's hard to tell what's what. we'll see what the test says. I just am hoping they don't look in my medical records and see I have "previous" issues and say "how can you prove this accident caused these problems".... because I know my body that's how!

thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Trying to hang in there. going off zith for now, it's been a nightmare. ruining our holidays. go to llmd tuesday, so we'll see.
