Does it go away? I'm under severe stress in my life and just can't figure out how to cope best. The brain fog is really an issue. Is there anything to get rid of it? Does it ever go away? I'm on minocycline and zithromax and I take a ton of suupplements. Does anyone know. Help...

I have only been following a natural protocol for about 7 or 8 weeks. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that is the thing for everyone, but I do think it's working for me so far. I do think that the brain fog is improving for me. I know that everyone is different. But I do know that Connie, Denise, Ann, Jaime, and Julie have all told me that they feel better, and they are pretty much in complete remission. Maybe Buckron, too? I can't remember everyone who's said the same thing. It does get better, tho, and even the short time I've been on this protocol, I can see an improvement.

Remember, everyone's different, so what helps me may not help you, but you'll get there, so just realize that you may take longer, and you may take several different protocols before you find the one that really seems to click for you. I also need to add a new supplement, I know that. Mine will be added come next week, likely, just money is really tight at this point!

Good luck, and if you can really do your best not to stress over anything. The more stress you have in your life, the worse you are going to feel everywhere with regards to your illness--this coming from someone who knows, trust me!!

*hugs* and if you want to vent or whatever, please be sure to send me a PM!

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Thank you so much. I'd love to get rid of stress in my life but it's not possible right now. I'm definitely going to try what you said. I don't remember if I sent you a PM or not but I'll check. I wanted to say thanks.

I love this site and the people with all the information. You guys are great.

Hopefully it'll help! Like I said, I'm not under the care of a doctor, so I've just gone by what other members have said have helped, so if it'll help you, by all means, take it for what you can, but just be careful. I'm NOT under the care of a doc!!! Good luck, tho, and if you want to talk more, I'm here! *hugs*

usually the brain fog does lift. sometimes it can come and go. I know I actually got partial amnesia .... some things I haven't gotten back, but I do feel at times my brain fog isn't as bad.

sometimes it depends on the meds your on too, some penetrate the blood brain barrier more than others, and since lyme is in the brain too, it can cause that.

i know someone who did bicillin shots, while on them, she felt mentally desperate, totally full of brain fog, but once she stopped, she felt much better, now that she's been of it for a while, symptoms are returning a bit.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying to find out exactly what medication will penetrate the brain barrier to get those bugs. It seems at times, I can try to say simple things and get lost in the middle of the sentence. Completely lost on what I even started out to say. It's very frustrating but I guess it's just another sympton to deal with. I'm trying to keep positive that will go away.

Thanks again everyone.

Has anyone noticed not just brain fog but other symptoms returning while stressed? I have a family member who was just diagnosed with cancer and I'm noticing that a lot of my symptoms are returning.

Oh definitely. If I stress I'm good for nothing. I end up back in bed. Stress is not good at all. Try not to stress if you can. I know it's hard.

Take care of yourself.

I agree with Pammie. Stress makes everything 10X worse for me, and even though I'm feeling much better now on my protocol, I can tell when I'm stressed, everything just gets me, and I start to feel bad and feel like I'm not getting better, when I really know that I have been all along. It just makes me doubt that I've been doing better, but then when the stress ends, I'm like, wait...What? No, I'm better! That's just wrong!!! LOL. So, I agree, you gotta really do your best to stay as calm as you can, even when you're stressed. It's hard, but I really try to meditate or do what I can to relax, even under stress. I try not to let deadlines or anything that I have that is my stress get to me. It's going to, inevitably...I'm really sorry to hear about your family member's diagnosis--that's really tough. Feel it, and deal with it, you have the right to do that. But once you have worked through it, you have to move through it and accept that you can do no one any good when stressed and sick! *hugs* Good luck getting yourself and those around you feeling better!

Jen
