This afternoon I actually felt pretty good. My twitches have decreased a lot, I am sure its not the meds since I have only been on doxy since Mon night (not adding others till next wk). Maybe the mag has finally kicked in.

At anyrate about 2 hrs ago I started to feel ill. No energy, weak and I am SO cold. My hands literally feel like ice cubes, I am shivering and its 75 in house. I feel like how you do right when the flu is about to hit you.

If I get the flu, do I stop my meds? Is this herxing? Gosh, I think everything is a herx-lol. How do I know what to do if I get a fever?

this is a good ????

I wonder this alot too!

What is herxing?

Are there certain ways to recognize a herx??

Certain symptoms?

How so you know that you are herxing and not getting the flu or having a migraine or reacting negativly to the med's, or just getting worse??

Is a herx - experiencing symptoms from the past - present and so forth??

Good Morning:

As I never had a bad herx or I never had one not sure...When I first got sick I thought it was the flu (July in chicago) no flu to be found...It was LYME...

As the flu is going around I would ask the doctor, but if you just started the meds it could be a herx also, hard to tell I think...But I would say a herx...

Ask the doctor if you can take a bendryl before bed...I take one and I sleep for about 5 hours (for me that is a lot)....

This is a good question... I start my treatment in a couple of weeks when I get back, and have wondered this same thing. How to decipher the difference between a herx and actually coming down with a virus, and what to do. *taking notes* More good Qs to ask my LLMD. Thanks for bringing this up!
